Now that she is signed with Star Magic, Kaila Estrada admits that she is ready to follow in her parents’ footsteps and officially become an actor.

As reported on ABS-CBN, the model, who is also the daughter of former celebrity couple John Estrada and Janice de Belen, stated that it is something that she has always wanted to do despite having just decided to finally take it seriously. Kaila is no stranger to the limelight as she has been modelling since she was in college.

“I feel like I’ve reached a point in my life where I’m really willing to get out of my comfort zone and explore. This is something that’s been in the back of my mind for a while but I just never really thought that I had what it took, and I also wasn’t confident enough yet,” she said.

Asked if her parents have given her any advice about showbiz, Kaila stated that her mother always reminds her to be true to who she is as a person.

“[She said], ‘You don’t have to change a thing. Just do your best in everything that you do. Stay true to yourself. Stay the same. My dad is always telling me also to do my best in everything and to continue to stay humble,” said Kaila.

No news as to what project is currently in store for the said model.

Aside from being the daughter of the two actors, Kaila is also the sister of GMA actress, Inah de Belen.
