Luis Manzano and Jessy Mendiola recently went mushy with each other on their second wedding anniversary, as they took to social media to declare their love for one another.

On 21 February, the actor posted several photos including a rare photo of him and Jessy at his 2016’s birthday party, saying that inviting the actress was one of the best decisions of his life.

“Little did I know it was the start of a beautiful journey getting to know a friend, best friend, girlfriend, fiancée, wife and hot momma. Happy 2nd wedding anniversary and thank you for being the strength of this family. Peanut and I love you, Mama!” he expressed.

Meanwhile, Jessy posted a photo of them from their wedding and wrote, “Isabella and I are so blessed to have you in our lives. I prayed for you every day, my love. God heard my prayer and gave me a good man. HE knows how pure your heart is and I always tell you this, your kindness is one of the reasons why I fell for you. You are kind to a fault that others take advantage of your good soul.”

“Just like what I promised you during our wedding 2 years ago, I will continue to be your best friend, lover, wife, confidant and protector until the end,” she added.

It is noted that the couple tied the knot in February 2021, but only announced the good news in April the same year. They welcomed their first child in December 2022.

On 29 January, the actor posted several photos of baby Isabella Rose on social media to celebrate her first month, writing, “Happy 1 month our little Peanut.”

Meanwhile, Jessy wrote, “Hello world, meet Isabella Rose Tawile Manzano. Happy 1 month, our little Rosie!”

The couple announced the birth of their first daughter earlier this month.

Luis and Jessy, who tied the knot in February 2021, revealed that they were expecting their first baby in August 2022.

Fans and friends congratulated the couple in the comments, including Anne Curtis, who posted, “Can’t wait to meet you!”

It was back in August that Jessy and Luis announced that they were expecting, more than a year after they tied the knot in February 2021.

Nobody was more elated to find out that Jessy Mendiola and Luis Manzano are having a baby other than the unborn child’s own grandmother, Vilma Santos.

The actress-politician, who was asked about the news of her daughter-in-law’s pregnancy recently, stated that she almost cried upon hearing it.

“When we first found out, it was Mother’s Day, if I was not mistaken. They were greeting me for Mother’s Day. Lucky said to me, ‘Mum, don’t you want to congratulate her (Jessy)?'” she said.

“I waited for so long for a grandchild, and now I will have one. I am looking forward to Peanut,” she said, referring to the nickname the couple gave to their little one.

As to what advice she has for Luis and Jessy, the actress stated that she told the couple that their lives will change as soon as the baby is born, and that they have to prepare for it – for the change in their priorities.

Jessy Mendiola recently took to social media to request for netizens to stop giving her unsolicited pregnancy advice.

The actress, who tied the knot with boyfriend Luis Manzano last year, shared her frustration on Instagram Story, writing, “I really don’t understand why people feel the need to ask these things. One way of showing respect when it comes to a woman’s pregnancy or plans on getting pregnant is knowing your limits. Stop asking, stop giving unsolicited advice.”

“I know my body more than anyone else and I always follow what my O.B. says,” she added.

Jessy’s statement could have stemmed from some netizens’ comments about her constantly working out, suggesting that she must not have wanted to get pregnant by the way she works out.

“If you’re exercising, you won’t have a baby? Please explain,” she hit back at the netizens.

Last year, following their marriage, Jessy admitted that she has slowed down her career to focus on having a baby with Luis.

Edu Manzano’s son Luis is happy for him and Cherry Pie Picache’s son Nio Tria is happy for her. So the question now is – what does Edu’s ex-wife Vilma Santos think of her ex-husband’s new romance with Cherry Pie?

That’s what their son Luis tried to do in his latest YouTube vlog, as he asked the former actress and current House Deputy Speaker about the topic.

Vilma, who couldn’t help but laugh at her son’s question, stated that she has been receiving a lot of calls from people wanting to know her thoughts about it, adding, “I don’t answer them. I don’t want to be involved.”

But when urged by Luis, she finally admitted that she is happy for the couple.

“What’s important, I guess, is I can share that I am happy. I am happy. You know Eduardo, your dad, and Pie is a very close friend of mine. At this point in time in our lives, the most important thing is to have respect and love. So, I wish them all the best,” she said.

Vilma and Edu were married for just two years before their annulment in 1982, a year after they welcomed Luis. Vilma had since tied the knot with politician Ralph Recto, while Edu married actress Maricel Soriano; a marriage that ended in 1991.

Cherry Pie and Edu confirmed their relationship back last month after they were seen acting chummy with each other during a dinner.

Luis Manzano recently spoke up for the first time regarding his father Edu Manzano’s new romance with actress Cherry Pie Picache, saying that everybody was caught off guard by it.

In an interview with G3 San Diego on her YouTube Channel, Luis stated that no one saw it coming when the news broke about their relationship.

“I don’t even think dad and Tita Pie saw it coming,” he joked. “I think a friend of mine took a picture of them and he sent me a picture. He was with Dad and Tita Pie. They might have been on a date night,” said Luis.

“So I sent the picture back to Daddy. I said, ‘Daddy, you look like a happy boy’ and he said, ‘Yes son, happy.’”

Luis, however, stressed that he is happy for his father, stating that he learned how to respect his partner by seeing how Edu takes care of loved ones.

“It would boil down to the same thing, how he respects his partner. That’s one thing I see in Daddy. How he takes care of his partner really. I can also see how happy he is with Tita Pie,” he added.

Edu confirmed his romance with his “Marry Me, Marry You” co-star last month, following reports of the two being seen together.

The actor was married twice before, to Vilma Santos, who gave him Luis, and later to Maricel Soriano. Meanwhile, Cherry was previously with partner Gary Tria, of whom she has a son with named Nio.

After four years of romance, Luis Manzano and Jessy Mendiola are now officially husband and wife.

The news was shared by the couple on social media on 4 April with a series of photos from their intimate ceremony, with Mendiola writing, “Officially Mrs. Manzano.”

In another post of the wedding held at The Farm, San Benito, she wrote, “I will always love you even on the darkest of our days. I will protect you and I promise that if you grow weak, I will be there to fight your battles for you. Today is the beginning of our journey… our lives together. I choose to spend today, and all of my tomorrows with you. I love you, howhow.”

Mendiola also shared a video of their wedding on her YouTube vlog, which features clips before, during, and after the ceremony, as well as the vows they made at the wedding.

Among the wedding guests are Manzano’s parents Edu Manzano and Vilma Santos-Resto, as well as Senator Ralph Recto and Ryan Recto. However, the couple made no mention as to when they actually held the wedding.

The couple has been together for four years before they announced their engagement in December last year. Prior to their relationship, Manzano was in an on-again-off-again relationship with Angel Locsin, while Mendiola dated JM de Guzman.
