Lokman Yeung recently addressed the controversy regarding the now-deleted poster of his new single, saying that he will do better next time.

As reported on Mingpao, the singer was recently blasted for sharing the poster for his new song “FLY” that has him and the stage being turned upside down to look as if he was suspended on air while trying to hold on to a lit screen, which reminded many of the accident befallen MIRROR dancer Mo at their 2022 concert.

Asked if he had seen the photo beforehand, Lokman confirmed he had seen it, but neither he, the design team, nor his management noticed its resemblance to the previous tragic incident.

“The concept was built around the stage. If people watch the MV this Thursday, they’ll understand the theme,” he said.

Regarding the oversight, Lokman said that they were only following the concept.

“But we’ll be more sensitive and do better after this, so as not to make people uncomfortable,” he added.

Asked if he has visited Mo, the singer said that he has been following news about the dancer, but that he will give Mo space and pray that he will get better.

It’s been nearly three years since the tragic MIRROR incident at the Hong Kong Coliseum, but the tragedy is still fresh in people’s minds.

Which is why MIRROR’s group leader Lokman Yeung drew flak from netizens, after he and the group’s agency decided to release a poster of his new song that seemed to trigger people’s memory of the incident.

Lokman, who was promoting his new single, “FLY”, posted the promotional poster that depicted him in mid-air, holding up what looks like a falling large screen while being suspended.

Netizens quickly drew parallels to the 2022 MIRROR concert incident, where one of MIRROR’s dancers Mo was seriously injured after an LCD screen unexpectedly collapsed on top of him.

Netizens lambasted the poster design as insensitive, with some accusing MIRROR’s management, Makerville, of being “heartless.”

On the other hand, some fans defended Lokman and the team, saying that it was only meant to show him doing a handstand, but that the image was flipped.

In response to the backlash, MIRROR’s team deleted the original post and reuploaded a new version featuring only the same text but a different image. It now shows Lokman standing atop a glowing platform.

Good news, MIRROR fans. It looks like there could be a world tour in the works for the year 2024.

The news was shared by MIRROR leader Lokman Yeung in a recent interview on the radio show, “Super Idol Chat Chat Chat”, saying that there are plans for the group to tour different places.

“I heard it’s being prepared. I don’t know if we will have an opportunity to try and perform in a few places,” he said.

Asked if they will perform in the US, Lokman stated that there is a chance for that depending on the situation.

“Last time, I came with AK, everyone is very enthusiastic. I didn’t expect so many people to support us,” he added.

At the same time, the singer said that MIRROR is expected to release a new song this month, while he himself is preparing for his first solo single.

It is noted that aside from the said tour, four of the members will be holding a series of solo shows in July and August, with Jer Lau kicking off with 7 to 9 July concerts at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, Anson Lo at the AsiaWorld-Expo from 23 to 25 July, Keung To from 3 to 5 August, and Edan Lui from 26 to 27 August, both also at the AsiaWorld-Expo.

MIRROR’s Lokman Yeung and Alton Wong, as well as ERROR’s Dee Ho have recently launched their restaurant, Thai Kau.

As reported on HK01, the three stars, who appeared at the launching ceremony together on 26 April, shared that they have invested a total of a seven-figure sum along with another partner, and hope to get a return within six months to one year at the earliest.

When asked if it was their dream to open a restaurant, Lokman stated that he didn’t intend to invest in a restaurant initially, and would rather do a take-away service.

“But after doing it, I realised that it’s fine, so I decided that we can open a restaurant,” he said.

He also stated that he hopes that they will be able to open a second branch soon and then raise more money to expand the business.

Asked if they aim to have a branch in each district, Alton responded, “That’s good.”

He then added that managing and keeping a business is much more difficult than starting one, and that he hopes to do a good job maintaining the business first for the time being.

After several days of silence following the tragic accident at their concert last week, MIRROR’s Lokman Yeung recently broke his silence on social media.

On 1 August, the rapper, who is also the leader of the 12-member group, shared a black square on social media and assured fans that the members are taking care of each other.

“I hope at this moment, everyone will gather their energy and wish Ah Mo, Ah Fung and Zisac a speedy recovery,” he added.

In the same post, Lokman expressed gratitude to everybody who have assisted the group, including their company, seniors in the entertainment industry, both familiar and unfamiliar.

“We will look after ourselves, don’t worry. We will provide time and space for the injured and their families,” he added.

The three people mentioned in his post were the three dancers who were injured at their previous concert, when a giant hanging video screen fell on stage during a performance. Ah Mo, who was directly hit by the object, is currently in the ICU.
