LizQuen fans, don’t worry. It looks like all is well between the two real-life couple.

According to Enrique Gil, who recently signed on to remain a Kapamilya, he and Liza Soberano are doing fine, though the actress is currently busy with her work in the US.

“I am going to be visiting her maybe when my schedule clears up. I think she’s coming back here. But yeah, we’re good,” he shared.

Although it’s hard being in a long-distance relationship, the actor stated that they will always make sure to communicate with one another.

“We don’t talk as much as we used to because of the different time zones but we still keep in check. She’s good there. She has a team with her there, which is really good,” he said.

Enrique also stated that he is very supportive of Liza’s choice of career path, despite how hard it is to break into Hollywood.

“I know it’s hard going into a new path but I support her nonetheless and who knows you might be seeing her come back in the near future,” he added.

Liza Soberano recently expressed her sorry for those who were affected by her words in the previous vlog where she had shared about rebranding herself, which had many giving their two cents about her statement.

In an interview with Boy Abunda, the actress, who previously spoke about her career in the Philippines and saying that she finally has the right to be herself, stated that it wasn’t her intention to offend anybody.

“ABS-CBN was always my second home. I devoted so many years to them. I’m sorry again also to them if there were people that I’ve worked closely with that were offended by some of the things that I said in my vlog. That wasn’t the intention but then also I’m thankful to them,” she said.

Liza also said that she is grateful that they took a risk on her when she was a nobody, and invested their time to mould her into a star.

“And thank you for being so understanding when I decided to no longer renew with them,” she said.

In the same interview, she also apologised to her former manager Ogie Diaz, saying that everything that she has and know she achieved through his help.

Liza sparked ire within the industry in her previous vlog, where she spoke about developing her own career path.

She expressed, “I’ve been in six feature films, over 500 episodes of teleserye, and have only really dabbled into three main genres – romance, comedy, and drama. Since I was 16, I had only really worked side by side with one main co-star, with the same production company, rotating around the same three directors. During all those years, I was never really asked for my input, my thoughts, my ideas.”

“I’ve sacrificed myself, I’ve sacrificed my freedom, I’ve sacrificed my happiness to present Liza Soberano to the world, and I think I’ve earned the right to finally be me,” she added.

Liza Soberano has dismissed the notion that she is now dating James Reid.

The actress, who has been romantically linked to the singer after signing to his record label Careless Music, stated that she and James are not romantically attached and that she is still very much with her former onscreen partner, Enrique Gil.

“I get so nervous about questions like that because people already assumed the worst about me because I haven’t been posting anything about Quen, we haven’t been seen in a project together,” she said.

As to why she no longer shares any photos with Enrique, Liza said that she is trying to stay away from the love team so that she will be taken more seriously as an individual artiste.

“Love team is a phenomenon only created in the Philippines, only existing in the Philippines, and to box a woman like that is so dangerous actually for their mental health and growth not just as a professional but also as an individual,” the actress added.

Liza Soberano recently revealed that she has moved to Los Angeles in order to focus on building her career in Hollywood.

The actress, who appeared on Fil-Am makeup artist Patrick Starr’s YouTube channel, shared with the YouTuber that she never actually announced her departure prior to the said interview.

“But that’s just because it is much easier to build my career if I am out here because they are always looking for in-person meetings and it’s just hard to book the job when you’re meeting people over Zoom. They can’t really tell what your personality is like and they can’t see what you actually look like,” she said.

Liza also stated that her dream is to become a “world-class actress” and at the same time start her music career.

“I signed with a music label in the Philippines called Careless and I’m also signed to a music label here in LA called Transparent Arts which is owned by the Far East Movement boys. They are really immersing me in the music industry. I have been training a lot here. I’ve been taking vocal lessons, acting,” she said.

When asked what kind of music that she likes, Liza stated that she prefers K-pop “but a little edgier”, saying that she is not a ballad queen.

As to what she planns for 2023, she said, “My goal is really to just become my own person because for so many years I was in a love team and that’s mainly what I was known for or like I was attached to so many different brands. I never was able to build up my own personal branding. I feel like this year and the next few years, it is all about figuring out what I really want to do with my career and personally finding out what excites me, what fuels my passion.”

Liza Soberano is now the new Filipino face for the Korean skincare brand, Deoproce.

The news was shared by Deoproce Philippines last week, with Angie Goyena, president of iFace, Inc., which distributes Deoproce in the Philippines, saying, “Deoproce is an exceptional Korean brand, gaining international momentum. We felt we had to find not just a face, but a personality to match the brand.”

“We felt a similar excitement when Liza’s name was brought up. She’s taking on international roles in Hollywood and other bold career moves, plus the way she takes care of her skin. Deoproce and Liza seemed a perfect match,” she added.

Liza wrapped up her Hollywood debut movie, “Lisa Frankenstein”, which stars Kathryn Newton and Cole Sprouse, back in September.

Speaking about the brand, the actress stated, “My beauty routine is quite simple. I’ve made a conscious effort to keep it minimal given my busy schedule these days. Late nights can really take a toll on my skin. And this is why Deoproce is perfect for me. Its amazing ingredients are really working overtime to enhance my skin’s vitality.”

James Reid recently admitted that he is proud of Liza Soberano’s achievement just a few months after they started developing her career in Hollywood.

As reported on ABS-CBN, the singer, who also manages Liza’s career through his company, Careless Music, stated his belief that the actress will one day make history as a Filipina actress.

“All we did was open the right doors but it was really Liza that landed the role,” he said, about the actress’ first project, the Zelda Williams’ “Lisa Frankenstein”. “She sent in audition tapes. They got her. She was up against some other very talented actors but she landed the role.”

As for himself, James said that he can’t imagine himself resuming his acting career right now, as he still wants to achieve a lot more in his music.

“I’m putting all the efforts into acting into Liza… I know it must be very confusing, what we’re doing. But I just have to say, wait and see. But we are making a lot of new friends in both LA and South Korea. Building relationships,” he said.

Liza Soberano recently revealed that it took her filming two audition tapes before she was cast in her first Hollywood movie, “Lisa Frankenstein”.

The actress, who spoke about how she got the project recently, stated that she and her managers James Reid and Jeff Oh bumped into Robin Williams’ daughter Zelda Williams while they were meeting industry folks in Los Angeles.

“And the day that I met her, she just got this project ‘Lisa Frankenstein’ greenlit, and she was very excited about it. She was talking about it during our meeting and she said, ‘Why don’t you audition for one of the characters?’ I’m like, ‘Sure, I’ll think about it, I’ll read the script and if I like it, I’ll audition for it.’” she said.

Liza said that her first audition tape was a failure.

“The first pass that we did it, we did it completely wrong. There was not enough head space and they were particular with the head space in the video and it was even blurry and I was like looking straight at the camera while I was saying my line which you’re not supposed to do because you don’t do that when you are actually filming so you are supposed to be looking at the person you are reading lines with. So, I had to redo it completely, redo it and film it on another day and then I had the Careless team edit it for me and we sent it over to the production,” she said.

It took three days before she got the news that she would be part of the film, which stars Kathryn Newton and Cole Sprouse.

“I was very excited and very happy of course because when I read the script, I was like blown away. I knew I would want to be in it like after the fifth and sixth sequences. It’s like a dream movie and a dream project of mine so when I heard the news that I got the role of course I was very excited,” she said.

Liza is currently in week two of filming in New Orleans, Louisiana. No news as to when the film will come out.

Liza shared the good news on social media with a screenshot of a Deadline news about her involvement in the movie, writing, “Ecstatic to be part of this film.”

Fans and friends alike took to the comments to congratulate the actress, including the movie’s lead actress herself, Kathryn Newton, who wrote, “I’m ecstatic you’re a part of this film!”

Rumours are rife that Liza Soberano is set to appear in the upcoming American movie starring Cole Sprouse and Kathryn Newton.

Speculations about the actress’ involvement in the project came after some fans noticed that she was tagged in an Instagram Story by JSLA Events’ Jessie Stafford, who reposted Newton’s post about the movie, titled, “Lisa Frankenstein”.

“Sending you and your team all the amazing energy to kill this film,” Stafford posted.

Liza herself hasn’t confirmed whether or not she will appear in the movie, though eagle-eyed netizens found that both Newton and director of the movie, Zelda Williams have followed her on social media.

Williams, who is also the daughter of late comedian-actor Robin Williams, is making her directorial debut with the movie, which is penned by Diablo Cody of “Juno” and “Jennifer’s Body” fame.

Liza Soberano is not stopping at TikTok Dance with K-pop performers it seems, as it was revealed that she has also recently appeared on a Korean variety show.

The actress herself shared the good news with a collage of photos from her recent appearance on the MBN show, “Not Hocance But Scance” on 15 July, writing, “Thank you to the hosts and guests of the show for making the experience fun and comfortable.”

In a video released by the said channel on its YouTube account, Liza was introduced to the stars of the show, Nicole, Kang Ji-Young, Ye Ji-Won and Soyou.

When asked why she was in Seoul, the actress responded, “Kinda vacation, kinda work. I’m just exploring Seoul. And I’m a huge fan of K-pop and K-dramas. So, I want like try to find work here.”

Liza also told Ji-Won that she has been a fan of K-pop since she was 11, and enjoys dramas like “Boys Over Flower”.

Prior to the show, the actress was seen doing TikTok dances with several K-pop stars including Jay Park and Kim Dong-Hyuk.
