Hannah Arnold cannot wait to finally represent the Philippines at the upcoming Miss International 2022, which has now returned after two years of hiatus.

On 3 May, following the news that the pageant is to be held this December in Japan, Hannah took to social media and wrote, “So grateful to be our representative for the Philippines in the 60th edition of Miss International.”

“Thank you Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. for this blessing to continue my dream journey. This is such exciting news that my MI sisters and I have been praying for and messaging a lot about. We will surely use this extra time to spread more awareness about the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.”

Hannah added that they have a lot to achieve by 2030, but that everyone has a role to play in the goals to end poverty, inequality and climate change.

“When we tackle one goal, it helps achieve all Global goals,” she added.

The last Miss International to be crowned was Thailand’s Sireethorn Leearamwat, who won the title in 2019. Meanwhile, the last Filipina to have won the title was Kylie Verzosa in 2016.

Fil-Aussie beauty Hannah Arnold has recently been crowned the new Binibining Pilipinas.

The Masbate native recently took to social media to express her thoughts about winning the crown, writing, “I am beyond grateful for this blessing and am still lost for words right now. I offer this to my guardian angels – Nan, Pop, Lola and Mama Sharon who believed in me and my dreams. I know they were watching from above and guiding my every step last night.”

“I am Hannah Consencino Arnold, your Binibining Pilipinas International 2021,” she added.

The 24 year-old is a sleep scientist and a professional model outside of pageantry.

During the Q&A segment, Hannah gave a winning answer when asked if she believes that genuine freedom of speech exists in the Philippines, replying, “Freedom of speech is a basic human right that we all must remember and it is important for democracy and with the upcoming elections, we definitely need free speech. On Twitter, we are limited to a few characters and what I’ve seen from these tweets have been powerful and helped me think of who I would like to vote for in the upcoming elections.”

It is noted that this is not the first time that she has competed at the Binibining Pilipinas, having done so back in 2019 when she finished as a top 15 finalist.

Hannah will be representing the Philippines in the upcoming Miss International pageant, which the country has won six times already. The last beauty queen to win the said crown was Kylie Versoza in 2016.

On the other hand, other winners are as follows:

Bb. Pilipinas Grand International – Samantha Alexandra Panlilio (Cavite)

Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental – Cinderella Faye Obeñita (Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental)

Bb. Pilipinas Globe – Maureen Ann Montagne (Batangas)

1st runner-up – Gabrielle Camille Basiano (Borongan, Eastern Samar)
