Taiwanese singer Faye (Chan Wen-Ting) is saddened to announce that she will not be able to participate in the upcoming 2022 Golden Melody Awards.

In a statement released on social media, the former F.I.R. member revealed that she has been tested positive for COVID-19 and will have to remain in quarantine in accordance with the pandemic prevention regulations.

This also means that she will not be able to attend the ceremony, which will be held on 2 July.

Her agency, AsiaMuse stated, “Faye is very sorry to not being able to participate in the prestigious Chinese music event in person, and she is very saddened about it. She is also deeply sorry to the organiser and fans who support her, and also thank everybody for their understanding.”

The company also added that Faye will be watching the awards ceremony from the comfort of her own home.

It is noted that the singer has been nominated Best Mandarin Album, Producer of the Year and Best Female Mandarin Singer, for her album, “Faye, Wen Ting Zhan Zai Yun Cai Shang Tiao Wu Ji Ji Zha Zha”.

After she was revealed to be dating comic artist Lu Ming back in 2018, former F.I.R. member Faye recently shared that she has actually been single for three years now.

The Taiwanese singer, who was asked about her love life at a press conference to promote her new album, “Faye, Wen Ting Zhan Zai Yun Cai Shang Tiao Wu Ji Ji Zha Zha”, stated that the two of them are still friends despite the breakup.

“A relationship doesn’t necessarily mean you have to be together in the end. There are many ways for you to appreciate one another,” she said.

Faye also stated that she has been very busy with work for the past few years and is too distracted to actually date someone and fall in love again.

“Now that the new album is finally born, falling in love will be next,” she joked.

Speaking of her ideal man, Faye, who is Catholic, smiled and said that physical attributes are just the icing on the cake.

“The most important thing is to have a fear of God. This is very difficult to find. I really need someone who can grow with me,” she added.

It was revealed that former lead singer of Taiwanese band F.I.R, Faye (Chan Wen-ting) has lost her case against former mentor Chen Jianning and former record label HIM International in her lawsuit against them.

As reported on Epoch Times, the issue sparked after Faye, who left the band in 2018, said that she had neither signed one of the performance contracts with HIM, nor did she authorise others to sign on her behalf. For this reason, she sued Chen Jianning and the senior officials of the company for allegedly forging documents.

In response, Chen Jianning counter-charged Faye with false accusations and defamation of character, stating that Faye personally signed the contract and authorised him to handle the contract on her behalf.

After much examination, on 15 April, the Taipei Prefectural Procuratorate determined that the signature on the said document was consistent with Faye’s other signatures, and that some misunderstanding must have occurred in the process of authorising the negotiation of contract between the two parties.

Faye had alleged that her signature was forged but the court has determined otherwise

As for Chen Jianning’s counter-claim against Faye for false accusation and damage to his reputation, the prosecution considered that Chen Jianning had pointed out to Faye’s agent before that the singer always forgets things and that he does not blame her, and thus there would be no prosecution on the case.
