It was reported that Eric Chou and wife Dacie Chao have recently welcomed their second child.

As reported on Epoch Times, the Taiwanese singer confirmed the news of the birth via his agency, saying, “I am very happy. Thank you for your concern!”

Dacie reportedly gave birth via Caesarean and that both mother and baby are safe. It was also reported that the couple welcomed a baby boy this time around.

Eric and Dacie tied the knot in 2022, and welcomed their first child and daughter in August the same year.

The couple announced the second pregnancy in September last year.

Fans were delighted to find that the official music video for Eric Chou’s new song “Valentine’s Day” is filled with TV and movie stars.

The music video, which was released on 25 December, features actors Sunny Wang and Puff Kuo in the lead, with the story revolving around a meet-cute situation between a businessman and a cafe staff.

Speaking about starring in the music video, Sunny said that he immediately fell in love with the script and the character that he plays.

“I think he is a man with a very lovely personality. He wants to live the life he longs for, listens to his family, and takes his family’s feelings into consideration. He feels like a very well-behaved person,” he said.

The actor also said that he loves the song, and that it somehow made him think of pink bubbles.

Wishing Eric a happy 10th anniversary in the industry, Sunny said, “10 years seems like a long time. But brother, you must keep moving forward, work hard, stay humble, and do your best. I can’t wait to see your growth and progress in the next 10 years, and I will always be here to support you.”

Following the success of his previous concert in June, Eric Chou surprised many fans in Malaysia by announcing that he is returning for a second round of “The Odyssey Journey”.

Titled “The Odyssey Journey Returns”, the upcoming concert will be a two-night performance that will be held on 30 November (Saturday) and 1 December (Sunday).

Malaysia is the only Asian leg of the return tour that has been announced for the time being. Aside from Malaysia, Eric will also be performing in London, Melbourne and Sydney throughout November.

After welcoming their first child last year, Eric Chou recently revealed that his wife Dacie Chao is pregnant for the second time.

Sharing the good news on Instagram Story, the singer posted, “My wife and I have great news to share to all of my loving fans today. God has blessed us with another baby, and it’s a baby boy!”

“We are super excited to soon be a family of four!” he added.

Eric and Dacie announced their engagement in October 2022 before revealing in March of the following year that they will be welcoming a baby. Their first daughter was born in August 2023.

Prior to that, in March 2023, Eric’s manager revealed that the couple had actually registered their marriage at the end of 2022.

Eric Chou is elated to be able to collaborate with renowned lyricist Vincent Fang for his new single, “Youth” (or “Youth Should be Written in a Few Lines of Poetry”).

The singer, who spoke about the cooperation with Vincent, who is most known for his frequent collaboration with Jay Chou, stated that it was a great honour for him to be able to work with the said wordsmith.

“I have listened to many of his works in the past. He is a master of his craft. This time, I worked with him on a Chinese-style song. I think his lyrics are very vivid and profound,” he said.

Eric also stated that he was deeply moved after reading the lyrics, and that he hopes his fans will feel the same way too when they listen to the song.

Singing the song for the first time at his show in Suzhou, the singer said, “I am really excited because this is the most direct and fastest way to share music. It made my heart beat faster. I was very happy to share the new song with my fans face to face. It was really a rare experience!”

It is noted that the new song is also the theme song to the Taiwanese drama, “Follow Your Heart”.

The Taiwanese remake of hit Korean drama, “Itaewon Class” is set to begin filming soon.

As reported on Oriental Daily, the upcoming drama, which will be retitled, “Fired Up!”, will star Eric Chou in the lead, played by Park Seo-joon in the original.

Speaking about his role in the drama, Eric stated that he recently learned cooking skills in order to meet the challenge of the role, and even sported a new shaved hairdo for the first time.

“I am excited for this role. I am looking forward to immersing myself in this drama,” he said.

Aside from Eric, the other cast members include Angela Yuen, Shao Yu-wei, Huang Guan-zhi, Cosmos Lin, Ben Wu and Sean Lin. It will be co-directed by Gao Pin-chuan and Tseng Ying-ting.

The original series stars Park as a former convict who sets up his own business after his release from prison, in an attempt to defeat another food company whose heir caused his father’s death.

Filming will begin in December.

Eric Chou recently announced the birth of his first baby.

On 13 August, the Taiwanese singer posted a photo of his baby sleeping in her cot, and wrote, “A letter to our newborn baby. You are the most wonderful thing that has happened to us. We are completely utterly in love with you, our baby daughter.”

“I love singing to you every morning, and mommy loves to stare at you. We surrender to your every move, and remember your every touch. You cry a lot now, but we love your voice. So, keep crying, keep smiling and we will be there for you every step of the way,” he added.

It was back in March that he announced that he and former news anchor Dacie Chao were having a baby.

“I am the luckiest guy in the world. I have the most amazing wife, and now we are happy to announce a baby is on the way! Words can’t describe my excitement. I can’t wait to start a family with you, my love!” he wrote.

Three weeks after announcing that he and wife Dacie Chao are having a baby, singer Eric Chou appeared for the first time in front of the media, and happily spoke about the pregnancy.

As reported on Oriental Daily, the Taiwanese singer shared that the pregnancy came as a pleasant surprise for both of them, and that the revelation came as a funny incident.

“I was playing video game when Dacie suddenly took out a pregnancy stick with two lines on it. I asked, ‘What?’, she said, ‘Am I pregnant?’. I laughed and said, ‘I think so!'” said Eric.

When asked the gender of the baby, Eric smiled and said that he wanted to maintain a sense of secrecy.

Eric said that he and Dacie planned to hold their wedding in Taipei next year, and that he will take a short break from work after the baby is born.

“I want to learn to take care of the baby myself,” he added, revealing that he is attending special classes for fathers.

As for their baby plans, Eric said that the two of them have a consensus of having at least three children, and that they will work hard to reach the goal.

Eric Chou is really having the time of his life, now that he is a Golden Horse nominee and is also engaged to be married.

As reported on Epoch Times, the singer, who appeared for the first time since announcing his engagement with Dacie Chao, stated that the proposal felt like in a movie to him.

“I wanted to light small candles to add to the atmosphere, but it was too windy to do so. When I was proposing to her, I choked up and had to hold back. In the end, it was relatively simple, just simply say I love her,” he said.

Eric revealed that the two have always had a consensus of marriage and that both of their parents have already met.

“She has given me a lot of support, and when I met her, everything is right. My success is also because of her and I think she is the right one for me,” he enthused.

As for the wedding, Eric said that he has not thought about it that much, and will complete his show at the Taipei Arena first.

On the other hand, for his dual nominations at this year’s Golden Horse Awards for “My Best Friend’s Breakfast”, Eric said that he is looking forward to it.

“My agency hopes that I would win Best New Performer because there is only one chance to win it. But I do hope that my song would win,” he said, referring to his nomination in the Best Original Film Song for the theme song, “What’s on Your Mind?”

Taiwanese singer-songwriter Eric Chou recently announced that he is now engaged to be married.

On 10 October, the singer shared the good news on Instagram with a photo of him and girlfriend, former news anchor Dacie Chao, who is six years his senior.

“Forever and ever,” he wrote in the caption.

The news was confirmed by Eric’s manager, who shared that Eric popped the question on the balcony while the two were on a holiday in Europe.

“Since both of them still want to work hard in their careers, they decided to get engaged first. The marriage and wedding will be decided later. It will not be held this year,” the manager said.

The two had previously dated, but broke up in October 2020. However, they rekindled their romance in June last year.
