Eason Chan is set to return to Malaysia next week for a special event.

On 18 August, Universal Music Malaysia officially announced that the Golden Melody Award-winning singer will make a special appearance at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday, 26 August to promote his “FEAR and DREAMS” live CD and Blu-ray sets.

On that day, fans will not only get the chance to see Eason up close on stage, but DADI Cinema will also be screening the concert documentary included in the release.

Fans will also get the chance to relive the highlights and behind-the-scenes moments from Eason’s tour, experience the energy and emotional depth of his performances on the big screen among others.

At the same time, Eason will also be sharing more about the tour in the special sharing session.

While both their daughters are making their singing debut, Kenny Bee sees no issue for his daughter Blythe to be compared to Eason Chan’s daughter Constance.

The singer, who was asked for his two cents on Constance’s recent debut with her single, “Doll”, said that he has been paying attention and praised her for her talent.

“They are just doing what they should do. Although they are the second-generation stars, they did not rise to the top overnight. They just have the advantage of getting more attention at the starting line, but ultimately, in this industry, it’s still about one’s own strength,” he said.

Asked if he had given Blythe any advice, Kenny said that he told his daughter to learn by doing.

“She has been walking around the Hong Kong Coliseum since she was a child. Even the security guards recognise her,” he said.

At the same time, Kenny said he is proud of Blythe and her achievements, especially after she made it to the Beijing Film Academy as a postgraduate student following her graduation from London College of Arts.

“The process was difficult. Her graduate exam process was not easy either… But she is getting started now,” he added.

Now that her first ever music video is released to the world, Constance Chan admitted that she was actually nervous about filming it earlier.

The young singer, who is the daughter of Eason Chan and Hilary Tsui, said that she got more and more anxious as each day went by before she had to film the music video for her debut single, “doll”, which she was also the co-writer.

“I kept worrying about whether I could perform well and whether I would disappoint everyone. After watching the MV, I realised that I still have a lot of room for improvement. However, I always told myself that this is only my first MV, and I believe that there will be more opportunities for me to grow and try in the future!” she said.

Constance also admitted that she became more familiar with the production team, which helped her to integrate into the role quickly.

“I also had to shoot some long shots with larger movements repeatedly, which required a high degree of concentration and energy. It was quite challenging!” she enthused.

However, Constance was in good hands, being directed by Mo Lyu, a young director who is also a good friend of hers, known for her many works with international brands such as Chanel, Tom Ford, Nike and PlayStation.

“I am so grateful to be able to work with such an excellent team to produce my first MV! They gave me a lot of support and encouragement during the process. If it weren’t for them, I really don’t know what I should do! It really means a lot to me to have so many good friends participate in this MV!” said Constance.

Meanwhile, Eason took to the comments on Constance’s post about her song and wrote, “Mad respect for everyone who took part in creating this beautiful piece together!! You guys are soooooo dope. PERIOD.”

The MV has now reached more than 100,000 views since its release on 27 June.

Eason Chan’s daughter, Constance Chan recently announced that she will be releasing her first single under Warner Music.

Sharing the good news on Instagram, Constance, who recently signed with Warner Music Hong Kong, posted a short clip of her recording her song, and captioned it, “my new family<3”.

She also revealed that the first song, an English song titled “doll” will be released on 26 June on all platforms. The song is co-written with songwriter and producer Ernest Choi, known for his work with Faye Wong’s daughter and singer-songwriter Leah Dou.

The promotional photos were shot by Hong Kong photographer Issac Lam, who noted that although Constance was likely a bit nervous at first, she quickly became comfortable and natural in front of the camera, showing no signs of being a first-timer.

Warner Music also posted the announcement on its IG Story, and wrote, “Welcome to Warner Family.”

Constance has also switched her personal social media account from “private” to “public”, officially beginning interactions with fans.

The young singer shared that “doll” is more than just a song, but a heartfelt reflection of her personal experiences. She wrote it during a period of emotional turmoil, using the metaphor of a doll to express the feeling of being manipulated or controlled.

The music video (MV) will be released that same night at 9.00 PM.

It was reported that Eason Chan and Hilary Tsui’s daughter Constance Chan is set to make her singing debut soon.

As reported on Mingpao, on 20 May, Warner Music confirmed reports that Constance has signed a contract with them, saying, “Constance has joined the Warner family. More details about her music will be announced later. Please stay tuned. Thanks!”

Constance has clearly inherited her father’s musical talent and passion. In fact, she made her first appearance in the music world 19 years ago, when Eason released his 2006 album “Life Continues…”, which famously featured baby Constance drooling on the cover.

Eason Chan has decided to cancel the Thailand leg of his “Fear and Dreams” tour following the incident that had befallen Chinese actor Wang Xing, who was trafficked to the Thai-Myanmar border after being duped into accepting a supposed acting project in the country.

Sunfan Media Group, the organiser of the singer’s concert, which was originally scheduled to be performed at the Impact Arena in Bangkok on 22 February, released a statement on 10 January, saying that the concert was cancelled “in light of recent safety issues concerning Chinese citizens and fans travelling to Thailand.”

“After careful discussions with Eason Chan, his management team, and the relevant companies in Bangkok, we have made the cautious decision to cancel the Eason Chan Fear and Dreams World Tour Bangkok concert,” the organiser stated.

The announcement pointed out that fans who have purchased tickets through the official ticketing platform will receive a full refund and all procedures will be completed within 10 working days.

Eason’s manager Gan Jingjing stated, “We don’t want any fans or their families around the world to worry about their safety because of going to Thailand to watch the concert … Of course, we all know that many are very disappointed with the cancellation. We are really sorry and hope to go again one day in the future.”

Returning to his concert tour, “Fear and Dreams” two months after his previous injuries, Eason Chan admitted that he was quite nervous about coming back.

The singer, who resumed the tour in Ningbo, shared with the audience on night two of the tour leg that he was worried about restarting the tour at first as he hadn’t sung for a while.

He said, “Actually, the wound on my chin is not the most serious, but the one on my temporomandibular joint is, because there are some cracks and some bones are broken. If I move my muscles too much, I will feel a little sore, so it’s very contradictory. But if I don’t use it, I will not be able to open my mouth wider when I sing in the future.”

Eason said that while it sounded funny, there is nothing funny about the thought of not being able to open his mouth wide.

“What I want to share is that this is a matter of mentality. If you encounter some problems and are stuck there, will you take a step forward? Or will you stay where you are? Although you may be in a very unhappy mood, depressed, or don’t want to do anything, as long as you are willing to take a step forward, just a little bit, it is really, really better than staying where you are!” he added.

Eason also said that he will use any gaps between shows to rest and relax so that he can perform even better for the rest of his tour.

Eason Chan has recently made his first appearance on a performance stage since his previous hiatus following his heatstroke incident.

The singer, who had to postpone two of his concert tour shows after being hospitalised for fracturing his cheekbone after he collapsed from heatstroke while playing tennis outdoors, performed for the first time since the incident at Hong Kong duo Softhard’s recent concert.

Eason performed two songs at the show, sparking a huge cheer from the audience, and was also dancing happily to show that he is doing okay now.

When Softhard member Jan Lamb asked him about his injury, the singer said, “The hole has been sealed and there is no more leakage. The doctor is very good and the workmanship is very meticulous.”

He also announced that he will continue his concert tour next week.

Meanwhile, Jan thanked Eason for his support, saying that the singer still came to perform as he has already said yes to the invitation long before the accident occurred.

Eason Chan has finally updated his social media since his previous hospitalisation to celebrate his 50th birthday.

On 28 July, the Hong Kong singer posted a clip of him celebrating his birthday with various cupcakes arranged to form the letter “E”, and wrote, “I’m glad there are so many people who care and encourage me every time I encounter setbacks. I wish I could warm this and share it with those of you who are temporarily feeling frustrated.”

“Take a deep deep breath, let it out [real] slow. Look up! We do this together!” he added.

In the clip, Eason seemed to have recovered from his injury, with no visible scar can be seen on his chin that was previously reported to have received 30 stitches.

It was back in June that the singer had to postpone his Chongqing and Foshan concert to next year after he fractured his cheekbone in a mishap that was caused by heatstroke.

A month after he was hospitalised for a fractured cheekbone, the first photo of singer Eason Chan was recently revealed courtesy of Terence Lam.

On 15 July, Terence posted an update on Instagram Story with a selfie of him and Eason. Eason was making a face in the photo, which showed that the scar on his cheek was no longer obvious and that he is recovering well.

Terence posted, “Long time no see. Thank you for coming.”

However, the photo was quickly deleted afterwards.

In a recent update, Eason’s manager Lisa Kan revealed that Eason’s stitches have been removed and that he has already been discharged.

Although the actor couldn’t talk much and could only consume soft foods, Eason was revealed to be doing well.
