NCT’s Doyoung has recently been appointed the new face of Dolce & Gabbana for South Korea and Japan.

The Italian fashion house shared the good news on its official social media accounts on 9 May, stating that the ambassadorship marks the beginning of a new creative journey between the two parties.

“As a global K-pop icon, Doyoung showcases his charisma and talent through his own unique music and style,” the brand added.

Meanwhile, the singer expressed, “I’m truly excited to become part of the great Dolce & Gabbana family. I feel a strong connection that can give birth to a powerful synergy between me and the brand”.

He then added on his Instagram that he will do his best for the brand.

It is noted that Doyoung is the first brand ambassador for Dolce & Gabbana for Korea and Japan.

NCT will be unveiling their first trio sub-unit Do Jae-Jung (Doyoung, Jaehyun, Jungwoo) in the first half of the year.

SM Entertainment confirmed the news on 9 March, saying, “NCT Doyoung, Jaehyun, and Jungwoo are indeed preparing their first unit debut album. Please look forward to it.”

NCT has been carrying out unit activities since 2016 in the form of four sub-units, including the rotational NCT U, as well as the Seoul-based NCT 127.

The trio’s sub-unit project is already an open secret among fans. They previously performed the unreleased song “Can We Go Back” at NCT 127’s concert as well as the 2022 MBC Music Festival.

Kwon Ah-Reum’s camp has recently denied rumours that the actress is now dating NCT’s Doyoung.

As reported on Hankook Ilbo, on 9 May, her agency SWMP announced, “The content related to Kwon Ah-Reum, which has recently spread through online communities, is clearly false. We have decided that it is difficult to condone any further, and we will take all possible legal measures.”

The agency also revealed that it is currently collecting data through continuous monitoring.

“There is no leniency for malicious rumor writers, malicious commenters, and the acts of redistribution and reproduction, and we will take strong measures,” it added.

Rumours of romance between the two sparked recently on various online communities. Kwon and Doyoung are working together in the upcoming drama, “To X Who Doesn’t Love Me”.

Following the success of his acting debut in season 3 of “Midnight Cafe – The Curious Stalker”, it was revealed that NCT’s Doyoung is set to star in his second project.

The news was confirmed by SM Entertainment, saying that the singer will be playing the lead in the upcoming TVING web series, “To X Who Doesn’t Love Me”.

In the series, which revolves around a magical notebook that can make anyone fall in love with someone for a month, Doyoung plays Jung Shi-Ho, a college student traumatised by a past experience.

“I am grateful to once again being given a precious opportunity to work in a drama. I will do my best to show great work to all my fans and those who believe in me,” said Doyoung.

The upcoming series, co-starring Han Ji-Hyo, is set to premiere in June.
