South Korean actor Choi Woo-shik found himself at the centre of a fan controversy recently.

This happened after a fan posted a video clip on social media on 26 June, claiming that actor had ignored her autograph request at a Paris fashion show – allegedly because she is Black.

Choi was quick to respond and posted an apology two days later on 28 June. He explained that time was very limited at the moment, and while he tried to sign for as many fans as possible, he felt sorry that he was unable to greet everyone. He also expressed his hope to meet them again in the future.

Helping to put the matter to rest, other videos from the event surfaced showing him cheerfully signing autographs for other Black fans as well.

The actor is currently busy filming the upcoming tvN drama “Whale Star”.
