Bowie Tsang recently assured that all is well between her and her father, Eric Tsang, after netizens expressed their sympathy towards her over his recent remark on an episode of his variety show.

As reported on Oriental Daily, Eric found himself getting slammed by netizens recently following the latest episode of the food variety show, “The King of Night Market” where Bowie appeared as a guest judge.

When the Taiwanese TV personality made a comment on the food and mentioned that “some sauces are redundant”, Eric responded with a quip that “The most redundant thing is you coming to this Earth.”

Many expressed shock over Eric saying such a thing about his own daughter, with many claiming that the TVB producer is disrespecting his own child.

Sharing a photo of her and Eric together, Bowie said that she has received lots of messages after the episode was broadcasted, and that there have been mixed reactions even among her friends.

“Some people understood that it was the effect of the show and laughed out loud, and some friends felt sorry for me and patted me on the head. I don’t have that hole in my heart now, so I didn’t feel anything when I heard it. Don’t worry,” she wrote.

Stressing that she does not doubt her father’s love for her, even if he doesn’t say it clearly, she added, “Thank you, everyone. I know you guys really love me.”

It looks like the scandal concerning Mickey Huang has now plagued people around him and those who were linked to him in the past.

As reported on Oriental Daily, Taiwanese media recently revealed that TV personality Bowie Tsang was originally scheduled to be the host for an endorsement event that has Son Ye-jin as its spokesperson on 16 April.

However, earlier that month, Mickey was found to have child pornography in his possession, triggering a lot of attention towards everyone around him including his wife Summer Meng and his friends in the industry. Many of them were forced to express their opinion regarding the case, one after another. It was reported that this includes Bowie, who had dated Mickey in the past.

According to reports, the event organiser decided to replace Bowie in the last minute as they were worried that people would be distracted by her presence at the event and take the focus away from the event itself.

Bowie’s team had since confirmed this, saying, “We are very familiar with the organiser and we were worried that it would take away the focus as well. After much discussion, we both agreed it was better this way.”

Eric Tsang recently assured that he is doing fine, after it was reported that he had undergone a surgery in Taipei earlier.

As reported on Mingpao, the TVB Executive, who responded to the media via the broadcaster recently, stated that he had undergone a stent implantation operation following his latest medical checkup.

“I would go to Taiwan for my medical checkup every year. The recent examination found that there was vasodilation, so I decided to have a stent implantation following the doctor’s advice,” he said.

Eric also assured that his postoperative condition is fine and that he will return to work soon.

Earlier, Eric’s daughter Bowie Tsang confirmed that her father had undergone stent implantation, and added that the operation went smoothly.

Bowie Tsang recently revealed that there was a time when dad Eric Tsang was very opposed to her joining showbiz.

As reported on HK01, the TV personality, who co-hosts PTV’s “Music Viva Viva” alongside Lulu Huang, recently had Taiwanese singer Linda Lee as the guest.

Linda spoke about her struggles throughout her singing career, and expressed her concern about daughter Chanel joining showbiz, prompting Bowie to share her own experience with her actor-producer father.

Said Bowie, “My father was very opposed of me entering this industry. He knows very well how hard it is. Behind all the glamour, it takes a lot of effort than you can imagine.”

She added that Eric once told her that the entertainment industry is the only industry where one sees themselves going downhill.

“In other industries, you see yourself rising up slowly all the way before you retire. But no matter how popular you are in showbiz, you will always look at yourself one day and be like, see ya!” she added.

To that, Linda agreed, saying that she felt the same way.

“I really don’t want my daughter to go into this business. But if she wants to, I can only support and bless her,” she added.
