Bea Alonzo recently admitted that she will never be able to be friends with ex-boyfriend Gerald Anderson, not even in the long run.

In a recent interview on Boy Abunda’s show, “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda”, the actress was asked if she would be friends with Gerald in the future, like she is able to do with her other ex-boyfriend, Zanjoe Marudo, of whom she dated for many years prior to her reconciliation with Gerald.

“No,” she said. “Because I can never be friends with somebody I cannot trust and somebody who doesn’t take responsibility for his actions. So, maybe not.”

Bea admitted that she was hurt by Gerald’s interview with the same talk show host back in 2021, when the actor denied that he “ghosted” her.

“I am only human. No matter who interviews him at the time, it would hurt, especially if half the time he wasn’t telling the truth,” she said.

However, the actress stated that she understands Boy’s position as an interviewer in hearing every side of the story when the talk show host interviewed Gerald.

After previously blasting Bea Alonzo on social media, veteran columnist Lolit Solis decided to say sorry.

On 18 October, Lolit shared a long post with a photo of Bea with her “Start-Up” co-star Alden Richards on social media, and wrote, “It started with me, it must end with me.”

“I admit that it was only because of the bashing of the fans that I wrote about Bea Alonzo one after the other. For that, I am very sorry. I thought that Bea Alonzo could have been hurt because of what I said and wrote,” said Lolis.

The columnist also stated that her favourite love team is actually Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz, and that she thinks Bea is one of the most beautiful faces in showbiz.

“Me and my crooked sense of humour that not everyone gets. To those involved in the issue, I have no anger towards Bea Alonzo. If she was hurt, and to those who love her, I am very sorry.”

It is noted that in a previous interview, Bea said that she has no ill-will towards Lolit.

“I heard that she’s sick, so I will not answer. I will carry that as if it’s a heavy burden. Let’s just stay positive. I will sincerely pray for her healing and for her to get well soon,” Bea expressed.

Despite the tirade against her by Lolit Solis, Bea Alonzo stated that she has no ill-will towards the veteran columnist.

The actress, who broke her silence about Lolit’s continuous bashing – after the latter accused Bea of acting like a mega star when she was not invited to the actress’ press conference for Beautederm, told Showbiz Portal that she would never reply as she never read what Lolit wrote about her.

“People just tell me about it,” she added.

Bea said that she still has a high respect for Lolit, despite never meeting nor introduced to one another.

“I heard that she’s sick, so I will not answer. I will carry that as if it’s a heavy burden. Let’s just stay positive. I will sincerely pray for her healing and for her to get well soon,” Bea expressed.

In the same article, the actress also said that she will only take criticisms that will help her, from those who care for her enough to criticise her in a loving way.

“But for those who bash out of hate, I don’t care for that kind of negative energy,” she added.

Meanwhile, Lolit is not slowing down on her criticisms about the actress, though thanked Bea for her prayers.

Bea Alonzo and Alden Richards’ highly-anticipated series, “Start-Up PH” is set to premiere this September.

On 17 August, GMA Drama shared the good news on Twitter with the first official teaser of the drama, writing, “#StartUpPH is a unique story about dreaming and loving starring Asia’s Multimedia Star, Alden Richards, and multi-awarded actress and box office icon, Bea Alonzo.”

“#StartUpPH, world premiere this September only on GMA!”

The drama is based on the hit Korean drama of the same name, which stars Bae Suzy, Nam Joo-Hyuk, Kim Seon-Ho, and Kang Han-Na.

The Filipino version was first announced in March this year, with both Bea and Alden playing the lead, joined by Jeric Gonzales and Yasmien Kurdi.

Aside from the drama, Bea and Alden are also working together in the upcoming movie, “A Moment to Remember”, which is also an adaptation of a Korean movie, which in turn is an adaptation of 2001’s Japanese drama, “Pure Soul”.

Bea Alonzo is set to star in an upcoming Filipino-American production titled, “1521: The Battle of Mactan”.

As reported on Variety, the actress will be playing the role of Diwata, a princess of Mactan in the movie that will be depicting the historic titular battle, the outcome of which is the departure of the Spanish crew from the archipelago of the Philippines.

Her character is set to have a forbidden romance with Spanish soldier and Magellan translator, played by Hector David Jr.

The two will also be joined by Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan, who will play Diwata’s  sister Ahmani, alongside Michael Copon, who will not only direct the movie, but also plays Lapu-Lapu, the datu (chief) who killed Portuguese explorer, Ferdinand Magellan.

The role of Magellan will be portrayed by Hollywood actor, Danny Trejo.

Principal photography is set to begin in Palawan this month, with the release date tentatively scheduled for June 2023.

Bea Alonzo recently admitted that she has no issue working with an ex-boyfriend in her future movies or TV series.

That is if that ex-boyfriend is Zanjoe Marudo.

Speaking to Barbie Forteza in the latter’s vlog recently, the actress said that she and Zanjoe did not have an ugly breakup, unlike a certain someone who shall not be named – the latter whom she has no interest to work with at all.

“Until now, we’re friends. It would be disrespectful to our relationship if we ended it badly,” she said about the “The Broken Marriage Vow” star.

Bea and Zanjoe were together for five years before their split in 2016. She later started dating former boyfriend Gerald Anderson, only for the relationship to end badly in 2019.

She also added that she has no issue reliving her past experiences with an ex-boyfriend through scenes, as she is able to separate her personal feelings from her craft.

“If you’re after giving your audience a good performance, it would be helpful. I am not afraid of that because I know my boundaries as an actor and as a girlfriend to Dom,” she said, referring to her current boyfriend Dominic Roque.

After successfully posting her 100th vlog on her YouTube channel, Bea Alonzo has another dream she would like to fulfill – that is to work with her former onscreen partner John Lloyd Cruz again.

As reported on GMA, the actress, who spoke to 24 Oras recently, stated that she hopes to collaborate with John Lloyd as soon as her taping for “Start-Up Ph” is wrapped up.

Said Bea, “It will all depend on the time we both have if we match and it will also depend on the script if John Lloyd can read it and agree to do it.”

“It’s very exciting and flattering because even though we’ve been together for so long, [the fans] still haven’t lost their interest in us,” she added.

Both parties are now working on GMA projects, with John Lloyd currently the star of GMA comedy series, “Happy ToGetHer”.

The onscreen couple, who first worked together as a couple in “Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay” back in 2002, have collaborated in several dramas and movie projects since then, with their last movie together being the 2015 film, “A Second Chance”.

Bea Alonzo is elated to begin shooting her very first GMA series, as she recently shared with GMA Network.

The newly minted Kapuso, who is set to star in the Filipino adaptation of Korean drama series, “Start-Up”, stated that she has a lot of dreams to achieve and is excited to begin shooting the new teleserye.

“We are just only just in the beginning of this long journey,” she said.

“Of course, it’s also my first time on GMA, and I am excited to meet the new people that I will encounter in GMA,” she added. “I am also looking forward to working with Alden [Richards]. I’m looking forward to meeting new faces and doing scenes with these people, talented writers and directors.”

It is noted that Bea inked a deal with GMA back in July last year. Aside from the said drama, Bea will also be working with Alden in the upcoming remake of the Korean movie, “A Moment to Remember”.

Yasmien Kurdi is elated to be given the opportunity to star alongside Bea Alonzo and Alden Richards in the upcoming GMA adaptation of South Korean series, “Start-Up”.

The actress, who spoke to Nelson Canlas recently, stated that she was a fan of the original Korean series, and had watched it during the height of the lockdown.

“When I was told about the show, I was super excited,” she added.

Yasmien also revealed that this will be her first project not only with the new Kapuso actress Bea, but also with Alden as well as another co-star Jeric Gonzales.

“I am so excited because it’s a new set of cast and it’s very refreshing and new. It’s just fun because I have been wanting to work with them for a long time and finally, I can be with them now,” she said.

The original series, released in 2020, stars Bae Suzy, Nam Joo-Hyuk, Kim Seon-Ho and Kang Han-Na as four people involved in the world of startup companies.

Bea Alonzo and Alden Richards are set to star in the Filipino adaptation of the Korean drama, “Start-Up”.

The news was revealed via GMA’s “24 Oras”, saying that the newly signed Kapuso and the network’s top star will be filming the said adaptation as their first series together.

“I watched it and I’m excited,” said Alden. “This is my first K-drama adaptation project. It feels good to be given the opportunity to do something that the audience wants.”

On the other hand, Bea said that the management offered the said series to her even prior to her transfer to the said network.

The original series stars Bae Suzy, Nam Joo-Hyuk, and Kim Seon-Ho, and revolves around a young woman who dreams of becoming the next Steve Jobs, as well as her love triangle between two men.

This will be the second project for the two actors, who will also be starring in the PH adaptation of a Korean movie, “A Moment to Remember”. Filming has begun in November last year.
