A seventh suspect has now been arrested in connection to the violent murder of Hong Kong model Abby Choi.

The suspect, a woman surnamed Pun, aged 29, was detained in mainland China and was charged with one count of assisting an offender.

Pun is said to be a social media influencer who has more than 30,000 followers on Instagram, and would often post photos with celebrities in showbiz.

Sources also claimed that Pun is a friend of Abby’s ex-husband who introduced him to the person in charge of the yacht company who assisted in his attempt to flee.

Including her, the police have now arrested Abby’s ex-husband Alex Kwong, her former father-in-law Kwong Kau, former mother-in-law Jenny Li Sui-Heung, former brother-in-law Anthony Kwong Kong-Kit, Kwong Kau’s 47-year-old mistress surnamed Ng, and 41-year-old Lam Shun – a staffer of a yacht company, also a friend of Alex.

It was back on 24 February, when 28-year-old model and socialite Abby Choi was found murdered, with her headless body discovered at a village in Tai Po, three days after she was reported missing.

Chinese model Moka Fang recently took to social media to mourn the loss of fellow model and good friend Abby Choi, who was recently revealed to be a victim of a violent murder.

On 27 February, the model, who is also wife of Hong Kong superstar Aaron Kwok, took to Instagram to post a black and white photo of a rose, wrote, “I am so sad and still can’t accept this as a fact at this moment.”

“I am upset beyond words, and couldn’t help but ask why a thousand times. I haven’t yet to calm down these painful feelings. Praying for a rest in peace,” she added.

Aaron also took to the comments and posted, “Rest in peace”.

Abby was reported missing on 22 February before the authorities found parts of her dismembered body along with a meat slicer and clothing in a rental unit in Lung Mei Village. Her ex-husband Alex Kwong and three of his family members have been arrested in the investigation.

On the other hand, Aaron declined to respond to any questions regarding Abby’s death, or the absence of Moka at a horse racing event he attended.

Four people, including the ex-husband of Abby Choi have been arrested following the violent murder of the Hong Kong model and influencer.

The said ex, 28-year-old Alex Kwong was detained at the ferry terminal in Tung Chung, Lantau, with police reporting that the man might have intended to flee via water transport.

HKD 500,000 and several luxury watches amounting to HKD 4 million were also seized.

Arrested along Kwong were his brother and his parents, who are held for questioning.

Abby was reported missing on 22 February before the authorities found parts of her dismembered body along with a meat slicer and clothing in a rental unit in Lung Mei Village. Her head, torso, and hands remain missing.

Investigation will continue, said police, with the cause of death yet to be determined.

The model, whose Instagram account was filled with fashion photos, had her last photo posted on 15 February, a digital cover of L’Officiel Monaco, which she captioned, “From Hong Kong to the cover of L’Officiel Monaco, my journey as a style icon continues. Grateful for this recognition and the continued support along the way.”
