Wendy Zhang (aka Zhang Zifeng) has recently defended herself amid speculations regarding her significant weight loss.

The actress attracted attention recently, after she appeared at a SK-II event in a white backless dress that showed her thin frame.

Wendy’s official height is reportedly about 160cm. Her weight was previously revealed to have dropped from a normal 47.5 kg to 40 kg, with a BMI of only 15.6, far below the healthy standard.

Her weight loss was mainly to fit the image of the female forensic pathologist “Tang Heqing” in her new drama, as well as the fragile state of “Banxia,” a post-apocalyptic survivor in “We Live in Nanjing.”

When asked about it at the event, she admitted to her weight loss, but said, “I may have lost weight, but I still need to exercise and take good care of myself. I still need to do these things.”

Miriam Yeung has recently dismissed the notion that she nearly had a heatstroke due to her stage costume while performing in Guangzhou as part of her world tour.

The Hong Kong singer, who spoke to the media at the CENTRESTAGE fashion event on 2 September to support designer friend Kit Wan, denied that it was her heavy costume that caused her to sit down during one of the sets.

“Everyone misunderstood and thought my outfit was very thick, but it wasn’t. It’s made of stretchy, breathable fabric. My husband wouldn’t abuse me!” she joked.

Miriam said that she did feel a little dizzy because it was quite stuffy at the venue.

“After the rain, it became even more stuffy, so I felt dizzy for a moment. But I quickly sat back down, and after singing the rest of the performance on the floor, I was fine,” she added.

It was during rehearsals of the Guangzhou show that Miriam was caught in heavy rain and had to sing while soaked. When the concert began, the high temperatures left her feeling dizzy, and she had to perform while seated and take a short break to prevent herself from fainting

Lee Jong-suk has now withdrawn himself from the upcoming romance drama, “Iseop’s Romance”.

The news was announced by Lee’s agency ACE Factory, saying, “Lee Jong-suk has been preparing to appear in ‘ Iseop’s Romance’ by deliberating on the project together for a long time since the planning and development stage, but as the production and filming schedules were adjusted from the original plan, it became difficult to coordinate with his next schedule.”

“After sufficient discussion with the production team, we ultimately agreed not to participate in this project,” it added.

As previously reported, the drama is an office romance based on the web novel of the same name. It tells the story of Tae Iseop, a third-generation chaebol who is perfect in every way but clumsy at romance, and Kang Min-kyung, who possesses outstanding work abilities.

STELLAR’s Minhee has recently announced her wedding date with a series of pre-wedding photos.

On 2 September, the singer shared a series of photos of her and her fiancée in various wedding outfits, and revealed that they will be making it official on 12 September.

She wrote, “I believe some of you may have already heard the news through the media, so I wanted to carefully share the news myself as well. I have met a kind and wonderful person, whom I feel the most comfortable and laugh the most, and we have decided to spend the rest of our lives together.”

“I imagine some of you may have been surprised by the sudden news, and I also feel a little shy about sharing such news after such a long time. Nevertheless, I am truly grateful for all the warm congratulations and support,” she added.

Minhee also stated that she will do her best to live a “beautiful and happy life” and will cherish all of the well-wishes coming her way.

Back in August, the singer shared photos from her bridal shower, after announcing her engagement earlier this year.

Seven years after the last Pokémon movie, it was announced that a new film, “Pokémon: Wild Card,” is set to be released next year.

In an announcement made at the closing ceremony of the 2026 Pokémon World Championships in San Francisco, the Pokémon Company president and CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara said, “For the first time in seven years, a new Pokémon movie awaits us. Its main character is a participant in card tournaments, who fights and strives to become a champion.”

A teaser was also unveiled at the event, where viewers got a glimpse of the player, as well as the character Mimikyu.

The movie is helmed by Katsuhiko Kitada of “Attack on Titan” and “The First Slam Dunk” fame, with Story Inc. producing. CloverWorks, meanwhile, handles the animation.

“Pokémon: Wild Card” is set to be released in 2027.

Sun Sheng-xi aka Shi Shi is set to perform in Malaysia for the first time as part of her 2026 “[The Taste Of…] Shi Shi World Tour”.

The Korean-born Taiwanese singer-songwriter, who returns with her new EP of the same name, will be performing at ZEPP KL on 6 December at 6pm. The Malaysian stop is an important part of this tour and will also be her first solo concert in Malaysia since her debut.

The tour, which kicked off in Guangzhou, China in July, has generated a great response. It will then return to her home country of South Korea in October to perform in Seoul, to be followed by a stop in Taipei in November prior to her Malaysian show.

Shi Shi made a name for herself after competing in season 2 of “Chinese Million Star,” though placed sixth. In 2019, she won the Golden Melody Award for Best Mandarin Album for her fourth studio album, “Shi’s Journey”.

Concert tickets will go on public sale via Book My Show on Monday, 7 September at 2 PM, with tickets priced at RM658, RM598, RM498, RM398, and RM348.

Jin Chen’s camp is threatening legal action against those who accused the model-actress of going abroad to secretly give birth, after it was reported earlier that she is currently studying in the United States.

On 1 September, her studio shared a statement released by Beijing Daozhang Law Firm, which stated, “Recently, the Client discovered that a large number of identical/similar articles and videos targeting her, centred on the topic of ‘Jin Chen giving birth abroad,’ appeared on various online platforms almost simultaneously. Investigation revealed that a certain entity created group chat platforms, distributed relevant online materials to users within the groups, and paid a large number of users to simultaneously publish false information about the Client, which constitutes a serious offense.”

“Based on the Client’s statements and commitments, the claim of ‘Jin Chen giving birth abroad’ in the relevant online materials is seriously false, has clearly misled public judgment, damaged the Client’s public image, and has had an extremely negative impact.”

The law firm stated that it was entrusted to file lawsuits against several social media users whose alleged defamation of the actress involved relatively serious circumstances.

“We request the court to order the relevant online platforms to disclose the real-name identity information of the aforementioned users. Upon receiving the disclosed real-name identity information from the online platforms, our law firm will continue to pursue legal action against those with serious defamation, demanding that the defendants bear legal responsibility for infringement, including public apologies and compensation for losses,” the law firm added.

It also stated that if any relevant parties continue to maliciously organise, disseminate, refuse to delete, or continue to publish content suspected of infringement, they will take measures such as administrative reporting, civil litigation, and criminal reporting to pursue the legal responsibility of the relevant parties in accordance with the law.

Kai Ko recently revealed that he actually gained nearly 10kgs for his role in the new movie, “I Blew Out the Candles Before Making a Wish”.

The actor, who plays the role of a soft-hearted debt collector in the movie, said that he deliberately gained the weight to portray the life of a Macau casino employee.

“Macau casino employees work day and night shifts, and due to the fact that they eat late-night snacks, the director wanted the character to not be too thin. I needed to gain weight in a short period of time, which put a strain on my body. I was worried that my metabolism would slow down after I turned 30, making it difficult to lose weight later,” he said.

Besides the physical challenge, Kai revealed that he also spent six months learning Cantonese from a teacher. He joked that he was most afraid of being teased by his young co-star Mui Cheng-in, who plays the lead character Jojo in the movie.

“The tones of Cantonese are really difficult. If you mispronounce it, it can become a completely different meaning, or even a derogatory word. Fortunately, Cheng-in would correct me gently, which helped me gradually master it.”

In the movie, Kai plays a debt collector who collaborates with an 11-year-old who orchestrates a casino scheme in the hopes of solving her family’s problems.

Ji Ye-eun and Vata are tying the knot this December.

The news was announced by their respective agencies, with Ji’s CP Entertainment saying, “The two have promised each other to be by each other’s sides based on their deep trust [with one another]. We ask for your warm blessings and support for the couple as they stand at the threshold of a new beginning.”

Meanwhile, the choreographer’s rep from ARA stated, “[The pair] will start a new journey as a married couple. They promised each other to be each other’s biggest supporters.”

The wedding will be held on 12 December, which also coincides with the We Dem Boyz leader’s 32^nd birthday.

Ji and Vata, real name Kim Tae-hyun, confirmed their romance back in April. It was revealed that they first met as church friends, both being devout Christians.

It looks like KickFlip will continue to perform as a six-member group, as it was revealed that Amaru will not be resuming activities for the time being.

The news was confirmed by JYP Entertainment on 1 September, saying, “Amaru has decided to continue treatment and rest for a more stable recovery of his health. After discussions with him and the members, future activities, including the new album, are scheduled to proceed with six members: Kyehoon, Donghwa, Juwang, Minje, Keiju, and Donghyeon.”

They added, “We sincerely ask for your understanding regarding this decision, which was made with the artiste’s health recovery as our top priority. We will closely monitor Amaru’s progress and inform you of any future changes.”

Amaru announced a hiatus from activities last September due to symptoms of psychological anxiety and other health-related concerns. Since then, KickFlip promoted their mini-albums as a six-member group.

The group, which made their debut in January last year, most recently promoted their fourth mini-album, “My First Kick” in April.
