Kumi Koda recently announced that she has given birth to another child, 14 years after her last pregnancy.
On 16 October, the singer posted a photo of a tiny baby hand holding her finger, and wrote, “To everyone who has always supported me. I am happy to share that I have safely welcomed a new life into the world. Both the baby and I are doing well.”
“Holding this little one in my arms, for the first time in 14 years, brought back a wave of warmth and deep emotion. Reaching this point safely is by no means something to be taken for granted; I truly feel that it was only possible because of the support I received from so many people,” she expressed.
Kumi tied the knot with Taiwanese-Japanese singer KENJI03 (real name Kenji Kuriyama) 15 years ago, and welcomed their first child, a boy, in July 2012. She announced the second pregnancy in March 2026.
Meanwhile, Kenji posted, “We’ve welcomed a new little member into our family. This is another beautiful moment I’ll cherish for the rest of my life, just like the day my son was born.”
“I’ll do everything I can to protect my family and keep our days filled with love and laughter,” he added.
