Nearly a year after it was speculated that she had a secret marriage and had given birth to a baby, Angel Wang (aka Wang Ou) finally confirmed that she is a mother of a young child.
The actress surprised many with the sudden revelation via Weibo on 31 August, writing, “I am currently raising a child alone. She is a precious gift in my life, bringing me much warmth and strength. This is my daily life, which I want to cherish and don’t want to take up any public resources.”
“My child is still young, and I sincerely hope everyone will refrain from focusing excessively on my private life, leaving her a quiet space to grow freely. Thank you all for your kind intentions,” she added.
It was back in late 2023 that she was rumoured to be pregnant, after netizens noticed that Angel hadn’t released any full-length photos of herself since August that year, and only posted headshots and pictures of herself from the chest up.
While she had never responded to the rumours, she once again made the news in late 2025, after netizens posted photos of a woman wearing a face mask, claiming that it was the actress herself.
Angel, who wore a simple grey sports jacket and a baseball cap, was seen holding onto a leash connected to a backpack worn by a little girl in a pink jacket. The little girl was believed to be of toddler age.
The actress was previously rumoured to be dating crosstalk artist He Jiuhua, whom she broke up with in 2023. He himself previously admitted to having a two-year-old daughter, though mum on the identity of the child’s mother.
