Yang Mi is officially a record-holder for being the only Chinese actress to have graced the cover of ELLE Magazine every year for the past 13 years.
The actress, who is on the cover of ELLE China’s September issue, has graced the cover of the magazine for 13 consecutive years since her first appearance on the cover in 2014. She has now accumulated 28 covers across 13 issues, making her the artiste with the highest consecutive appearances and total number of covers for ELLE China.
In addition to ELLE, Yang Mi also has eight consecutive appearances in Figaro and four consecutive appearances in the Chinese edition of T, making her the only post-1985 actress to hold simultaneous long-running cover streaks across multiple top women’s magazines.
She is also the first and only female star born after 1985 to have achieved a “grand slam” of important-month covers across the five biggest women’s fashion magazines — Vogue’s Golden September/Anniversary issue, ELLE’s Golden September issue, Harper’s Bazaar’s season-opener, Marie Claire’s Silver October issue, and Cosmopolitan’s season-opener — a set she completed with this year’s ELLE cover.
