After much speculation, it was finally confirmed that Yoo Ah-in is set to make his comeback with director Jang Jae-hyun’s new occult film “Vampire”.
The actor will be joining cast members that include Lee Sung-min, Lee Joon-hyuk, Yoon Kyung-ho, and Choi Hyun-wook. The movie will begin filming this month.
The story of “Vampire” follows a series of incidents involving an unidentified hitman who is hired by a clergyman to track down a mysterious pagan group. Yoo Ah-in will lead the film as the hitman pursuing the group.
Director Jang Jae-hyun is a master of the Korean occult genre, known for films such as the box-office hit “Exhuma.”
The film marks Yoo Ah-in’s comeback project after approximately three years, following his propofol case. He was ultimately sentenced by the Supreme Court in July last year to one year in prison, suspended for two years, along with a fine of KRW 2 million (approx. USD 1,413).
The movie is set for 2028 release.
