Grace Chan recently admitted that she was upset and blamed herself for not properly protecting her sons, after her six-year-old was splashed with cream in a recent cinema row.
The actress, who attended an event for the first time since the incident that occurred in late July, said that she has already reported the issue to the police a day after it occurred and that the case is currently being followed up.
It is understood that the case is classified as “common assault,” and the police are currently searching for the perpetrator.
The actress admitted that her two sons were traumatised and didn’t understand why they were attacked. However, she said that she has explained the situation to them and comforted them when they got home.
“Because we are celebrities, we can’t rule out the possibility that the incident will be amplified. In the future, I will be more careful and vigilant when attending public events to avoid misunderstandings. Three days after the incident, I took my sons out to eat again, and they already knew to behave better,” she said.
Grace emphasised that she didn’t want the incident to cause prejudice against her sons.
The actress previously revealed that her young son was splashed with a cream-like substance during the screening of “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” in Admiralty. The revelation came following an online post accusing her three sons of disrupting other moviegoers, with one of them accidentally kicking the back of a moviegoer’s seat. Some blamed her for not stopping her kids while others claimed that one of her sons had been assaulted after the fact.
