Japanese singer and actor Kazuya Kamenashi and actress Minami Tanaka have announced their upcoming marriage alongside the happy news that they are expecting their first child together.

40-year-old Kamenashi first shared the news in a handwritten message posted on his official fan club website. It was not long after that the couple then jointly released a statement on their respective official websites, confirming both their upcoming marriage and the pregnancy.

In the statement, they expressed gratitude for the support they have received and said they hope to continue growing not only as entertainers, but also as parents and individuals.

The two first crossed paths through a feature in fashion magazine MAQUIA in 2023 and later co-starred in the TV Asahi drama “Destiny” in 2024.
