Dee Hsu recently expressed her gratitude to DJ Koo Jun-yup, who designed the new statue that is now gracing Barbie Hsu’s place of rest.
The TV personality, who attended the unveiling ceremony held at the Chin Pao San cemetery on 2 February, which marks a year after Barbie’s passing, thanked the South Korean entertainer in her speech, saying that while she mourns for her sister, she is deeply thankful that Barbie had a happy and joyous life with Koo.

“When I’m deep in grief, I think of my brother-in-law, Koo Jun-yup, who was by my sister’s side for the three years before she passed away, a man who truly loved her, asked for nothing in return, and didn’t crave anything beyond love and protected her with a pure, simple, and innocent heart, and it brings me peace. So, I am truly grateful to my brother-in-law!” she expressed.
She continued, “Today, when my mother saw Barbie’s statue, she said, ‘Baby, you’ve been reborn!’ I believe my mother’s heart has been filled with joy today.”
Dee also expressed hope that family, friends and fans can come and see Barbie and talk to her whenever they miss her, now that the statue has been completed.
