Elated to finally becoming a father, Alex Fong recently revealed that he plans to not stop at one when it comes to having children.
The actor-singer, who made his first public appearance as a guest performer at a dinner party following the birth of his daughter, said that he was moved to tears when he saw his daughter came into the world.
“I accompanied my wife into the delivery room… Becoming a father made me realise how deep parental love is. I felt like I have grown a lot and have a greater responsibility”, he said.
Alex added, however, that he still has a lot to learn on how to be a good father.
The 45-year-old also admitted that he is not getting any younger and hopes to have more kids in the future so that baby Isla will not be alone.
“I am truly grateful for the availability of painless childbirth, which has changed my wife’s mind and made her willing to continue having children,” he said, adding that they plan to get pregnant again this year so that they will have two kids in three years.
It is noted that Alex previously said that he plans to have another daughter that they could name her Lisa, so that he and Maple can use the abbreviation FAMILY (Fong, Alex, Maple, Isla, Lisa and Yip).
“Isla sounds like an island. I was even thinking that if we have another daughter, we can rearrange the name Isla to become Lisa, which seems pretty good. If you see a FAMILY license plate in the future, I am prepared to bid for it,” he said.
