Zhao Lusi recently addressed the issue with her mismatched dress and jewellery at the 2025 Tencent Starlight Awards, saying that there was a wardrobe issue but she doesn’t care enough about it.
The actress earlier was criticised for her look at the event, after she appeared clad in gold accessories, but with a black dress that has red and silver embellishments in the chest area, which did not suit the jewellery given to her.
It led to speculations that her actual dress disappeared before the event started and that she had to wear a different dress.
Responding to the issue in her livestream, Lusi expressed, “To be honest, there are bound to be some flaws with the dress. But this isn’t my last event, nor is it the last time I’ll see you all. Let’s look forward to the next time.”
She also expressed hope that everyone wouldn’t dwell on the matter too much.
“I can’t possibly be going through this whole year, and still getting caught up in internal conflicts about makeup or dresses. It’s not that important to me anymore,” she added.
