The team of the new series, “When I Meet the Moon” has recently released a statement regarding Lin Yi’s injury on the set of the drama, following reports of the incident.
On 22 October, the production team shared their official statement on social media and wrote, “After the accident, the production team immediately accompanied Mr. Lin to the hospital, where he underwent a thorough and detailed medical examination. According to the professional diagnosis, Mr. Lin Yi is fine and suffered no major injuries.”
They stated that Lin Yi decided to continue filming the remaining scenes with his own consent and upon professional medical assessment, and that the team made sure that the actor had a dedicated staff to coordinate with and accompany him.

“In the upcoming filming, the crew will continue to closely monitor Mr. Lin Yi’s recovery, while further strengthening on-set safety measures, conducting comprehensive safety inspections, and working to prevent similar incidents from happening again,” they added.
Reports of Lin Yi’s injury was shared by netizens who saw the actor at a hospital in Xiamen. It was later revealed that Lin Yi was struck by a lighting fixture on set of the drama.
