Kevin Tsai recently revealed that he was very happy for his former co-host Dee Hsu, who won in the Variety Show Host category at the 60th Golden Bell Awards.
The TV personality, who appeared alongside Dee at the event as a guest presenter, said that the only reason he was presenting the accolade was to be there for her.
“Usually don’t feel much about winning or not winning awards… I want to train myself not to automatically accept others’ praise or recognition. That way, maybe I won’t care as much about their criticism or humiliation either… But this time, whether we win the award or not really matters to me. Because I believe this award can help her return to the job she loves. An award that has real power is an award with true meaning,” he wrote on social media.
Kevin said that although the award was not for him, he was still grateful.
In another post, he wrote, “This time, my mission is not to present the award, my mission is you.”
It is noted that Dee, who won for her talk show, “Dee’s Girls Talk”, made her first public appearance since the death of her sister, the late Barbie Hsu back in February.
