Mainland actor Zi Yu has recently taken to social media to apologise over the recent controversy exposed by his ex-girlfriend, Paris.
The issue sparked after Paris claimed that he dated her while being in a relationship with his former agent, but then broke up with the agent to date Paris freely. However, following the success of his drama, “Revenged Love”, his new agent reportedly tried to break them up.
She also claimed that she received a message from Zi Yu on 23 July saying he wants to break up with her but that she was doubtful that it was Zi Yu who wrote it.
The issue had since caused Zi Yu to lose over 200,000 followers on social media.
In response, Zi Yu posted a message on his social media account, apologising to fans and to Paris, saying that it was his fault that he wasn’t able to find a better way to communicate with her and handle the relationship better.
He then thanked his fans for their long-term support, saying, “From the beginning to now, you have given me the courage and confidence.”
Zi Yu said that he is currently single and also promised that he would put his career first and live up to everyone’s expectations of him.
