After much anticipation, it has finally been confirmed. My Chemical Romance (MCR) is coming to Malaysia next year!
The band shared the good news on social media on 7 July, revealing the list of Southeast Asian cities they will be performing at as part of their upcoming tour.
The Malaysian leg of the tour is set to be held on 30 April 2026 at the National Stadium Bukit Jalil. It is noted that 30 April 2026 will be on a Thursday.
MCR will be kicking off its world tour with a concert in Seattle on 11 July at T-Mobile Park. The Southeast Asian tour will begin in Bangkok on 22 April, followed by Bulacan on 25 April, Singapore on 28 April, KL on the 30th and finally Jakarta on 3 May.
Malaysian fans have been speculating about the band’s return to Malaysia, after a mysterious message of “Are you okay?” on a black background was revealed on a digital billboard in the heart of Bukit Bintang last month.
It also came with an image of a rose, which is a symbol related to the band.
The band last played in the country in 2007.
