JJ Lin’s camp has recently dismissed a recent allegation made by a social media user against the singer.
Earlier, a user on the social platform Threads accused JJ Lin of soliciting prostitutes through intermediaries, even claiming that his flight attendant ex-girlfriend was among them. The individual further alleged possession of explicit videos, sparking a flurry of online discussion.
The whistleblower not only tagged JJ Lin’s official account but also declared their willingness to be interviewed by the media and to provide video evidence.
The statement has sparked a flurry of discussions among netizens, but some sharp-eyed users discovered that the account’s profile photo had been stolen from a Chinese influencer, casting doubt on the user’s credibility.
In response, JJ Lin’s management company issued a late-night statement, saying, “In this age of convenient social media posting, we cannot speculate on individual motives behind such posts. We can only continue to focus on delivering better music and performances for fans.”
They also called on the public and media not to believe or spread unverified rumours in order to maintain a healthy and respectful online environment.
