Having been to Penang, Malaysia three times already, Joel Chan recently stated that he is very interested in investing in the state as his second home.

As reported on Oriental Daily, the actor, who attended a fan meeting in Bayan Lepas’ Queensbay Mall alongside Owen Cheung recently, stated that he would definitely buy a place in Penang if his wife agrees.

“Penang has a good environment. It has sunny beaches; it exudes comfortable feeling. It’s easy to communicate with people here and there are many delicious food,” he said.

Asked what kind of Penang delicacies he has tried, the actor said that he would like to try Nyonya food, and Bak Kut Teh aside from his favourite char koay teow and prawn noodles.

“I also want to try durian and pack some Red Shrimp durian for my wife,” he added.

Joel also expressed his intention to try the Penang Bridge International Marathon in the future, being a runner himself.

“I heard about it a few years ago. But because I was busy filming and had no time to practice running, I dare not rush to sign up for the event,” he added.
