After previously revealing her plans to hold another concert, Sammi Cheng announced that she will be holding it at the Hong Kong Coliseum in July next year.

As reported on Mingpao, the singer, who spoke about her upcoming projects, shared that she was elated to get her application approved, since it was not a simple matter.

“It was four years ago that I last performed at the Hong Kong Coliseum. [I am happy] that despite the pandemic and market closures in recent years, I was still able to make a lot of Cantonese songs. I don’t want to just perform old songs at every concert,” she said.

Asked if she will invite husband Andy Hui as a guest at her concert, Sammi said that she has yet to decide on it.

At the same time, Sammi shared that her new movie, “Lost Love” has been invited to be the closing film at the Hong Kong Asian International Film Festival.

“It’s a rare opportunity for me, so it’s great,” she enthused.
