Jinny Ng is set to star in the lead for the first time in the upcoming series, “Hong Kong People in Beijing”.
As reported on Weekend HK, the singer was recently revealed to have travelled to Shenzhen for the project, and is currently in quarantine before filming starts.
Speaking about the said project, Jinny said that the series is a light-hearted small production.
“It’s a topic that I quite like, mainly anecdotes of Hong Kong people living in Beijing and what they encounter. The script is well-written and there are a lot of funny scenes,” she said.
She also dismissed the notion of being a “female lead”, saying that the series is focused more on co-star Ruco Chan, who is the lead character.
When asked how long she will be staying in the city, Jinny said that she will be there for three months.
Jinny’s last aired series was the 2019 Miriam Yeung-starrer, “Wonder Women”. She is also set to appear in a major supporting role in “The Spectator”.
