Despite not winning the Miss Universe crown for the Philippines, Beatrice Luigi Gomez still garnered congratulatory remarks from her Miss Universe PH peers for a job well done.

The Cebuana beauty, who made it to the top 5 in the pageant held in Israel on 13 December, had Miss Universe royalties Pia Wurtzbach and Catriona Gray expressing their pride for her achievement, with Pia writing, “Hugs, my countrymen. 2018 was the last time we placed in the top 5. We should be proud of Bea!”

She also posted a photo of Beatrice on social media later on, writing, “Such a BEAutiful journey. You made all of us proud. We heard it from our Queen—public health is everyone’s responsibility and getting vaccinated can help end this pandemic.”

Meanwhile, Catriona expressed, “Such a tough competition this year! Not only were there beautiful faces and great walks, but great spokeswomen who had well rounded campaigns, advocacies and missions. I’ll always believe a Miss Universe should be well-rounded in all aspects. So proud of this batch!”

Aside from the two Miss Universe winners, other former representatives to the pageant also congratulated Beatrice, including last year’s Miss Universe PH winner Rabiya Mateo, Miss Universe PH 2019 Gazini Ganados, and Miss Universe PH 2016 Maxine Medina, the former who wrote, “Thank you so much, Bea! We are all very proud of you.”
