Taiwanese singer-actor Ken Chu might have contracted COVID-19 in the early days of the pandemic and did not know it.
As reported on Epoch Times, the former F4 member recently sat down with Apple Daily to talk about his work and personal life, which ended with the “Meteor Garden” actor sharing everything that was wrong with his life – including possibly being one of the few who were infected by the coronavirus back in 2019.
Said Ken, he had been travelling around China in late 2019 when he started suffering from a high fever and a sore throat following a performance in Huizhou.
“It wasn’t like your typical cold. It was really painful and I can feel a bitter taste at the back of my mouth,” he said.
However, instead of taking a day off and getting himself treated, he went on to perform at his subsequent shows.
He also believed that wife Vivien Han Wenwen was later infected too because of him.
Although he wasn’t sure at the time, Ken said that he became more certain that he did contract the virus after undergoing an antibody test following the availability of the COVID vaccine.
“Because of my fibromyalgia, I asked my doctor if it was safe. I also told him about my suspicion. After the test, I was told that my body had produced a number of antibodies that usually happened after someone contracted a disease,” he said.
On the other hand, Ken revealed that after two years, he will finally return to mainland China and reunite with his wife in November.
