Selena Gomez could retire from music after one more album
Selena Gomez might be quitting the music business soon, according to her recent interview with Vogue.
The singer, who has released six albums since she started her career in the entertainment industry, admitted that she does feel frustrated that people aren’t taking her seriously as a musician.
“I’ve had moments where I’ve been like, ‘What’s the point? Why do I keep doing this?’ ‘Lose You to Love Me’ I felt was the best song I’ve ever released, and for some people it still wasn’t enough,” she said.
Selena was in a very public relationship with Justin Bieber.
In the same interview, Selena stated that a lot of women came to her to say that the song, which was a collaboration with songwriters Justin Tranter and Julia Michaels, has helped them got through their breakups and divorces. The song was widely believed to be inspired by her past relationship with the now-married Justin Bieber.
She added that while she is thankful that there are a lot of people who enjoy her music, she would like to do something different for her next album.
“I want to give it one last try before I maybe retire music,” she added.
When asked what she would do if she stops making more music, Selena said she wants to spend more time producing and to “give myself a real shot at acting.”
Selena is set to release her new project, “Revelación” on 12 March.
