Julia Barretto recently admitted that she has learned to compartmentalise what matters and what do not when it comes to facing bashers on social media.

As reported on ABS-CBN, the actress, who spoke to BJ Pascual on the latter’s YouTube video, stated that after six years in the business, she has learned to assess what are more important to her, saying, “Sometimes, when it’s the opinion of people who don’t have a significant role in your life, who really don’t matter to you, who you don’t even know, I’m never going to be affected by it.”

“You don’t know me, I don’t know you, we can’t judge each other. It’s just not possible,” she said.

Barretto added that she will only pay attention to criticisms if it comes from her family, friends and those who know her best.

“Whether you do something good or bad, people will always have something to say. So keep going, keep doing you,” she said, stressing that she doesn’t believe in paying bad for bad.

“I just don’t want to judge also, because I know what it’s like to be judged.”
