While most actors on the rise would rather focus on their careers than their personal lives, Carlos Chan recently admitted that he would love to tie the knot and settle down.
As reported on Mingpao, the actor, who shared his view on marriage while promoting his new movie, “Ready or Knot”, stated that he is already at a marriageable age and is being surrounded by friends who have also become fathers.
“Seeing how happy they are, I could only imagine. You should have children when you are young so that you still have the energy to play with your children. I will be 35 years old, and I can still play football with my ten year-old son at the age of 45. If it’s too big a gap, there would be fewer opportunities to do that,” he said.
Carlos, who was in a relationship with Jennifer Yu for a long time prior to the latter’s marriage with her non-showbiz boyfriend – added that he already has a stable career and would have no qualms settling down – that is if he could find the right woman anytime soon.

“But I won’t deliberately plan the timing. I don’t want to put pressure on myself to do it in one or two years,” he said.
When mentioned of the notion that marriage is the “tomb of love”, the actor laughed and said, “It depends on how much you love the other person. If I love her, we’ll dance together in the tomb.”
