This year, the festival is back even bigger and better!
This time around, organiser FriedChillies.com upped the game by bringing in 10 vendors for the fried chicken festival that’s taking place this month. Even more exciting, one of the vendors is KyoChon, a South Korean restaurant renowned for its absolutely delish fried chicken.
Time for some chicken!
Other vendors (they also go by the moniker Lejens) that will be hailing from around Klang Valley, Johor and Penang include Familia Fried Chicken Kg Baru, Kimberly Street Belacan Fried Chicken Penang, Wak Kentut Kulai Johor and myBurgerlab.
Here’s where and when foodies can get their Ayam Lejen fried chicken fix this year:
Venue: Ara Damansara LRT Station
Date: 10 & 11 November 2018 (Saturday and Sunday)
“We created this event as a platform for local food entrepreneurs to reach a wider audience of foodies and it’s only natural that we get back on board the fried chicken heroes that have left a lasting impression from last year,” said Adly Rizal, Chief Executive Officer of FriedChillies.
“The point here is to sample each dish and to experience the many wonderful ways we eat fried chicken,” added Honey Ahmad, co-founder of FriedChillies.com. “All our vendors have come up with the best kind of fried chicken that goes with their special sides and sauces, cementing their reputation as Lejens.”
Aside from feasting on a wide variety of fried chicken, visitors to the festival will also get to participate in the Kepak King Chicken Wing Eating Competition – the winner won’t have to worry about their cooking oil stock for the next six months as Alif Cooking Oil will be providing it to them for free!
Visitors will be required to use the app BOOST to make purchases at the fried chicken festival.
Fried chicken fans might want to hurry and get their hands on the tickets because this year only 3,000 will be available. That’s 1,500 tickets for each of the event day. Visit http://www.friedchillies.com/ for more info on Ayam Lejen.
