U2018 Visual STD

Urbanscapes is back with its yearly event of showcasing different kinds of arts by both local and international acts.

The festival has secured a three-week date starting from 3 to 18 November this year.

Line-up details are still being kept under wraps but if last year was any indication, Malaysians are going to have an exciting and fun week throughout.

Last year, fans got to witness international bands such as Cigarettes After Sex, Mew, and Clean Bandit perform to a Malaysian audience on three separate dates.

While local bands like The Otherside Orchestra, Enterprise, and Jaggfuzzbeats held album launches to promote their latest work.

Other than music, Urbanscapes 2017 also offered other artsy fartsy projects like a visual art exhibition at Collective | Individuals, a local comic artists gathering at Komik Kon Malaysia, and #THISISKUALALUMPUR photo exhibition that highlights some of Kuala Lumpur’s best traits.

With #ReimagineKL being this year’s official hashtag which seems to align with Malaysia’s government reform, it will be interesting to see which acts Urbanscapes will bring into the festival this year.

Suggestion: A Fahmi Reza exhibition accompanied by music from Dum Dum Tak perhaps?
