Sources at the Mayday concert at the Hongkou Stadium in Shanghai recently assured that the fire which broke out at the show recently was not as serious as it was made out to be.
As reported on Epoch Times, a fire broke out at the aforementioned venue recently during Mayday’s “Life World Tour” concert, and reportedly spread upwards towards the second floor, causing scared fans to run away and leave the building.
Fortunately, the fire was quickly extinguished and the performance went on uninterrupted.
Although photos and videos of the fire seemed to reflect a blaze, sources at the event said that it was not as serious as people imagined it to be. It only seemed so due to the fact that there were lights nearby the location of the fire.
On the other hand, Mayday’s company, B’in Music shared that the fire was caused by a loose power cord that connects the lights.
They assured that everything was resolved immediately, and expressed gratitude to the firefighters for doing a good job, which enabled the band to complete their performance with no further issue.
The company also stated that the remaining four concerts will be held as usual.
