Although her movie, “The Empty Hands” didn’t do well at the box office, Stephy Tang said she is not affected by it at all.
As reported on Mingpao, the actress who appeared at the premiere of her new movie, “Husband Killers”, stressed her belief that a film’s success is not based on its box office result.
“It seems relatively poor, but you can’t say a movie is successful or failed through the money it makes. It’s more important what people are saying about it, and I have heard people giving it a high rating. To me that is successful,” she said.
However, the actress admitted that she just feels sorry for the director Chapman To.
“He thinks that the result will affect me. But in fact, we can see that his intention is good. He is very talented in my mind,” she added.
On the other hand, Stephy admitted jokingly that she feels awkward promoting three movies at once. Aside from “The Empty Hands” and “Husband Killers”, the actress also stars in the film festival favourite, “Somewhere Behind the Mist”.
