Several volcanic eruptions from Indonesia’s Gunung Agung in Bali recently has forced the Ngurah Rai International Airport to temporarily shut down operations, and one of the many visitors who were unable to return to their homes include Hong Kong model-actress Gaile Lok.

As reported on Mingpao, on 29 November the actress, who has a private holiday home in Bali, uploaded several videos on Instagram Story recording her attempt to leave the Indonesian island.

Since she was unable to leave via plane due to the shutdown, Gaile shared with her fans that she would take a long-distance car ride (18 hours to be exact) to the nearest and safest airport, that is the Juanda International Airport in Surabaya, for her to take a flight home to Hong Kong.

The actress also updated fans of her whereabouts through several clips on Instagram Story, and shared how she was able to experience the beauty of Indonesia while on her long journey.

When contacted by the media, Gaile assured that she is doing well and is still on her journey to Surabaya.

Gaile said she was unable to catch a flight back to Hong Kong yesterday and plans to leave as soon as possible, although she is unclear about which flight to take.
