Chinese singer Kris Wu has been named one of the celebrities in Forbes Asia’s 30 Under 30 list.
The 26-year-old singer joined other successful 20-something celebrities, including former fellow SM Entertainment colleague, Jessica Jung, as well as Malaysian fashion entrepreneur Vivi Yusof in the 2017 list.
Forbes Asia mentioned his previous status as a member of the K-pop idol group EXO, and stated, “He went on to act in some massively successful films, like the record-breaking “The Mermaid”.”
Kris was also revealed to be the first Chinese actor to attend the prestigious Met Gala and played in the NBA All-Stars Game for Canada.
The singer-actor is also the latest star to join the Stephen Chow actors’ club, after working in the aforementioned film as well as the Stephen Chow-produced “Journey to the West: The Demons Strike Back”. Kris reportedly will also be involved in the sequel of “The Mermaid”.
Aside from Kris, the other Chinese celebrity named in the list is China’s first supermodel, Liu Wen.
