Vivian Hsu couldn’t help but smile when the issue of her China ban was mentioned by the media recently.
As reported on Epoch Times, the Taiwanese star, who appeared at a fundraising event on 13 March, seemed indifferent by the issue, and said, “In truth, there can be all kinds of misunderstanding. But sometimes misunderstanding doesn’t require explanation.”
“Sometimes, the more you explain, the worse it gets,” she added.
Earlier this year, Vivian was named one of the 55 Hong Kong and Taiwanese stars who were allegedly blacklisted by China for their supposed anti-China political views. While there was no explanation as to why the actress was banned, many believed it was due to her past interview where she professed her love for Japan.
The Chinese Culture Ministry, however, have denied that such a list existed.
Vivian, who almost never talks about politics, stated at the event that she would prefer to live in peace rather than talk about the issue.
On the other hand, the mother of one said that she will begin preparing for her new album and tour concert after her birthday on 19 March.
As for her acting career, Vivian said that she will make her comeback if there is any movie offers for her.
