The ChubMet Music & Art Festival returns for the second year to Siem Reap, Cambodia and is set to bring together more exciting blend of popular local and international artistes for two whole weeks!
Featuring a variety of music genres and art, Siem Reap will be hosting seven creative and lively events in multiple venues from 17 February to 2 March 2017.
Some of the huge names that will be participating in the exciting events include Grammy Award-winning English singer Joss Stone who will be bringing her ongoing “Total World Tour” to the country, steampunk and chap hop musical artist Professor Elemental, French rapper 12ME, and Cambodian blues legend Kong Nay.
Meanwhile, other talented performers like Kmeng Khmer, Nikki Nikki, Pich Sophea, Rasmee, Krom Monster, Adda Angel, and more will also be performing at the festival.
Below is the breakdown of ChubMet Music & Art Festival from 17 February to 2 March 2017.
17 Feb – Festival Opening Carnival
ChubMet’s opening party includes dance, projection mapping, live art, and an Art of Music & Dance exhibition. The party will feature Laura Mam and Kmeng Khmer while the Live Music will have the Imagine Peace Band, Channthy Cha Cha and UK DJ David Gunn.

18 Feb – Giant Puppet Parade Music Stage
In collaboration with one of Siem Reap’s most popular annual events the Giant Puppet Parade, the event presents a family-friendly Cambodian music affair with Kmeng Khmer, Nikki Nikki, Phare, Kong Nay (chapey dong veng) and more as the performers of the night!
Venue: Raffles Garden (starts 7:30 pm)
21 Feb – Battle of the Bands
After last year’s hugely successful event, the much-loved “Battle of the Bands” competition returns to feature some of the greatest bands from all across Cambodia! Expect high-energy performances as these talented and determined musicians battle to prove they are Cambodia’s best rock band.
Venue: X Bar (starts 7pm)
23 Feb – Hip Hop & Urban Art
A live urban art and hip hop evening with performances from UK rap sensation Professor Elemental, French rapper 12me with Cambodia’s DJ Niko Yu, DJ Cake and rappers Lisha, Parker Jones & Juvie Lin, as well as live urban art from Chifumi & Mike Ysk.
Venue: Triangle Bar Lounge & Restaurant (starts 7pm)
24 Feb – Modern & Ancient Sounds
An exciting blend of ancient sounds combined with modern instruments with performances from Rasmee, Krom Monster and The Kampot Playboys each using traditional instruments in very different genres such as soul, electronica and rock.
Venue: FCC Angkor (starts 6.45pm)
25 Feb – Sen Sabay Main Stage
An awesome night of celebration with some of Cambodia’s top musicians like Pich Sophea, Adda Ange, and more!
Venue: CTN Angkor Arena (starts 7pm)
2 Mar – An evening with Joss Stone
29-year-old singer, songwriter and actress Joss Stone will be wrapping up the festival by bring her “Total World Tour” to the venue. Before the pop star enters the stage, special guest Cambodian tenor Sethisak Khoun will be opening the evening.
