Former beauty queens of Malaysia have made it to the finals of “The Amazing Race Asia” Season 5, becoming the sole Malaysian team in the top three alongside two teams from the Philippines.

Chloe Chen and Yvonne Lee who were Miss World Malaysia 2011 and 2012 respectively, have proven the critics wrong by making it to the final round of the race, and they have also shown that they are more than just beauty queens with pretty faces.

“One of the teams came up to us and told us they were surprised we were even chosen to be on the show. They thought we seemed weak but it isn’t just about physical strength. It’s about having brains, patience and a bit of luck,” Lee, 28 said to The Star.
