Malaysia’s pop punk band An Honest Mistake (AHM) is giving their fans an early Christmas present!
The quartet band will be releasing their first Christmas EP, “An Honest Christmas”, consisting of four songs – two originals and two covers of famous Christmas classics – on 12 December 2016.
One of the tracks will be the band’s latest original release titled “Finding My Way” featuring Philippines-born singer Lynd from Beatburns, while the other original track, “Ain’t Christmas Without You” was previously released as a single in 2013, featuring the voice of AHM’s previous female vocalist, Ashley Chan.
Meanwhile, the two remaining tracks are covers of Christmas favourites like “All I Want for Christmas is You” by Mariah Carey, and Darlene Love’s “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)”, featuring a line-up local and regional artistes.
The former was released back in 2015 (we even wrote an article on it back then), while the latter was released just last Friday, featuring Filipino synth-pop band Paranoid City, ex-Singapore Idol contestant Daphne Khoo, as well as Malaysia’s quintet band Back2Basixx.
This is the first time that a Malaysian band has ever released a full-fledged Christmas EP.
“To the band, Christmas means coming home to one another from afar to each other’s’ respective families. Christmas is a time of being home with your loved ones. It is also a time to take a breather after a long year of hard work,” the band wrote in a statement.
“An Honest Christmas” will be dropped on all digital platforms on 12 December 2016 including iTunes and Spotify, so be sure to stay tuned!
