Singer-songwriter Wang Leehom recently announced that he is collaborating with his alma mater, Berklee College of Music, in the establishment of the Wang Leehom Full Scholarship programme.

As reported on Epoch Times, the singer, who received an honorary Doctorate of Music degree from the school during the “Berklee Presents Music of Wang Leehom” concert, announced online that the scholarship programme will begin in 2017.

The college, said Wang, will select the most outstanding Chinese musician every year to receive their music education there with zero tuition.
When asked why he decided to establish the scholarship programme, Wang, who attended an event in Taiwan recently, stated that he wouldn’t have succeeded in life without the help from many people. Thus, Wang hopes to do the same for others.
As to whether he will have high demands for his two daughters when it comes to their education, Wang laughed and responded, “Let it be for now. I am still learning how to be a good father. My children are still small. We’ll do our best.”
