After it was reported that Gallen Lo and Him Law will star in the television version of the hit cop-and-mob franchise, “Infernal Affairs”, more stars have been announced to be part of the line-up, and that most of them are TVB alumni.
According to a report on East Week, in addition to the two former TVB stars, Damian Lau, Paul Chun, and Bernice Liu will also star in the drama, produced by Media Asia, and TVB former producer, Tommy Leung.
In addition, Dominic Lam, Derek Kok, and Lo Hoi Pang make up the rest of the cast.
The new drama, which will be released online trough Chinese streaming service iQiyi, will be presented in three different seasons and a total of 36 episodes.
However, it will not be a continuation about the two lead characters of the original trilogy, but focuses on new set of characters. Gallen reportedly will play the villain of the series, while Him Law will play the OCTB inspector who is going after him.
The first season of “Infernal Affairs” is tentatively scheduled for December release.
