After admitting that he will not be doing another martial arts film in the near future, Sean Lau has added another item to his list of movies that he won’t be doing anytime soon, and that is comedy.
As reported on Mingpao News, the actor, who attended the premiere of his new movie “Heartfall Arises” alongside co-star Nicholas Tse, stated that making a comedy movie is even scarier than an action movie.
“The definition of comedy depends on one’s personal experience and preference. It’s scary to think that you might have a theatre full of audience and yet nobody is laughing,” he said.
He added, “There is a thin line between what is funny and what is not.”
His co-star also agreed with the notion, saying, “Being funny is even harder than jumping from the 40th floor. I really can’t do it.”
Meanwhile, when asked about his experience working with Nic again after “The Bullet Vanishes” four years ago, Sean praised Nic’s acting as much more mature than it was back in 2012.
