JJ Lin emerged victorious at the recently concluded 27th Golden Melody Awards, winning his second Best Mandarin Male Singer award for his work in “From M.E. to Myself”.

As reported on Focus Taiwan, the 35-year-old singer, who attended the event held on 25 June, thanked the organiser in his acceptance speech, and expressed happiness that people have recognised his album.

“I wanted to produce the kind of music that I have never tried before, but I was uncertain how people would receive it. But we still did it to achieve our dreams. Thank you for realising this dream,” he said.
Lin beat other competition including Malaysian singer Namewee, China’s Li Jian, and Taiwan’s Kowen Ko.
He previously won a similar award back in 2014 for his album, “Stories Untold”.
Lin also won Best Composer for the song, “Twilight”.
